i feel like i've been living under the rock cause i didn't know about this competition
lovely os- i always like the little touches you add. pokemon toy 😆 which one? please please tell me old school pikachu or charizard and not one of these new generations ones🤓
though i have to say- how can the mother daughter duo fall asleep?! i love hum tum and i can't imagine falling asleep while watching it 😆 though it was a sweet moment

He grumbles as his Sunday is ruined, no make it his life is ruined and it is all because of that woman.

It's a Sunday and with the tensions he was recently embroiled in he had no time to catch up with FIFA, he was about to watch a rerun late last night when things took a turn somehow and they ended up arguing. Not that it was out of the usual; only his daughter marched in with her favorite Pokmon soft toy in hand and started on him for fighting with her Ishimaa.

Somehow, Ishita got her to calm down but Ruhi wouldn't budge and hence slept in with them. In the morning, he got a punishment for his rudeness and insensitivity.

He had to watch a movie of Ishita' choice since he made Ruhi upset and fought with her Ishimaa only because he didn't want to lower the TV volume.

So now, he finds himself in bed in his room with his wife and daughter as they watch a movie - Hum Tum - the woman had to pick a Rom-com to torture him!

He doesn't realize when but perhaps midway through the movie he started involuntarily comparing Karan and Rhea' story with his and Ishita'. They too always ended up bumping into each other he realizes, in all sorts of places. How they became friends and how... just like Hum feels lonely and miserable without Tum - when she was gone and had stopped talking to him recently he was just the same.

He shakes his head as he realizes he was just comparing himself with a cartoon! The things this woman does - she is making him loose his freaking mind.

He turns to look at her with anger and disgust and notices her tears. Ishita loves this movie and somehow even when she has seen it loads of times already she cries when Karan and Rhea part ways due to misunderstandings. He shakes his head and rolls his eyes watching his feisty wife be such a girl!

He hands her a hanky that she blows her nose on and his disgust rather than any polite manners make her keep it.

Around the end of the movie as Karan watches on his newborn baby girl with his arm around his wife, he cannot help but smile at the scene. The little girl reminds him so much of Ruhi, he looks down at his baby stretched across their laps - with her head and torso in his and her legs perched on her Ishimaa' - that he notices she is asleep.

Running a gentle hand over her head he is about to tell his wife he is changing the channel now when he feels her head landing on his shoulder and realizes Ishita too is asleep.

The moment fills him with so much peace, he decides to switch off the TV instead and with an arm around his wife' shoulder falls in a deep slumber.

I have read this one shot and it's wonderful.
