OS:Apologies, Explanations, and Forgiveness (Part 2- Page 2)

Hi guys, I came up this random OS. I started this a couple of days ago when I read the spoilers, but was skeptical to post it. I was bored today, so decided to finish it and post it. Sorry in advance if you read this and want to throw shoes at me for wasting your time.

It came as a shock. Ishita hadn't expected Adi to be the culprit. She was left in shock. Her lawyer was successful in proving Shagun as the culprit, but everything took a turn when Shagun shouted out that Adi did the accident. Adi, Raman, Ishita, and everyone in court was surprised. Ishita didn't want this to happen. She turned to look at Raman. He seemed to be frozen in one place. Adi was sentence to 6 months in juvenile custody. The court was dismissed and while leaving, Adi gave Raman and Shagun a cold stare. Ishita saw Raman break apart.

He was still sitting like a statue, but couldn't stop the tears flowing from his eyes. He quickly wiped his tears and left the court before anyone of the family members could say anything to him. Somewhere down the line, all of them were mad at Raman for hiding the truth, but they were also feeling a little bit guilty for all this, especially Ishita.

Everyone went home and all waited for Raman to come home. They wanted to know why Raman couldn't tell them this before. If he had, all this wouldn't have happened. The Iyers and Bhallas waited in silence for a while, but Raman didn't come. It was now evening, but Raman didn't show up nor was his phone reachable. Everyone was worried now, and then the doorbell rang. Ishita ran to the door and saw Neil.

Ishita: "Neil, you're here at this time? Is Raman with you? And why didn't you tell us about Adi?"

Neil: "I am sorry for hiding such a big thing from you guys, but I was trying to do my job. But Raman Bhai isn't with me, instead after the court case, he came to me and asked me to give you this."

Neil handed some papers to Ishita. Ishita read the papers and they were papers declaring Ishita as Ruhi's sole guardian.

Neil: "Oh and he also asked me to give you this envelope. I don't know what's in here."

Ishita took the envelope and quickly opened it to find more papers. One was a bank statement showing all the money in Raman's account transferred into her account. The other paper was a letter. Ishita recognized the writing as Raman's.

The letter said...

Ishita, please don't misunderstand me and think I am giving you money in return for your trust or anything. Ishita, I am a failure in life. I hid the truth from everyone, making myself miserable as well as you. I know I can never be forgiven for this. I was just doing all this to save Adi and fulfill the promise I made of not letting anything happen to him or his mom, but I couldn't do that either. I don't know what I was thinking when I hid this from you. I should have known that you would have understood me and fixed this mess, but I didn't tell you and made this mess worse.

You know what Ishita, I deserve this. I did the wrong thing. I ruined Adi's life by trying to protect him. I should have told him to surrender. I am a horrible parent, but I am just glad you came into Ruhi's life. Now at least she has a good parent who can raise her. Ishita, because of my foolishness my parents, my in-laws, my wife, and my son all hate me. I am sorry for everything I did. I can't ever fix this mistake, but I can make your lives easier.

Ishita, I am leaving. I don't think I will ever come back, so I am giving everything I had to you. My family is already yours, and my daughter was always yours, but I thought I should do the right thing (for once in my life) and make it legal. This bank's statement shows that my money is now also yours. I was hoping this letter wouldn't be too long, but it is. I don't even know if you are still reading this, but if you are just make sure you tell the rest of the family members these thing.

Tell Ruhi her Papa loves her and she is his princess. Tell mom and dad, I am sorry for being a horrible son and disgracing their upbringing. Tell Romi to never be like his brother and tell him I am sorry for always criticizing him, but doing the wrong things myself. Tell Amma and Appa, I am sorry for not being able to take care of their daughter and breaking her trust along with theirs. This last one won't probably happen, but Ishita if you ever ever meet Adi again in your life. I know you won't want to talk to him, but just for my sake, tell him that his dad tried to be a good dad.

I am sorry to everyone for breaking your trust and now leaving you guys, but I can't live with the burden of ruining many lives. I am really sorry. Goodbye.

Ishita couldn't believe it. The papers fell from her hands. Everyone was asking her a bunch of questions, but she just stared at them. Romi picked up the letter and read it out aloud. Everyone was left in shock.

Ishita: "Neil what is this nonsense? Where is Raman? Tell him I want to talk to him now. "

Neil: "Bhabhi, I seriously don't know. He came to my office and wrote this letter in my office when I was preparing these papers. He gave me this envelope and told me to give this to you. He left from there and I came here."

Ishita: Amma, Mummyji I didn't want this to happen. Where is Raman? What if Raman did something to himself? Why is he doing this? He thinks leaving us is the way to get forgiveness. It's not, I am not going to take his nonsense anymore. I am going to find him, bring him back here and he will have to explain himself. He owes me an explanation.

That's the end of this part. This didn't exactly turn out the way I wanted, so all feedback is welcome.

Part 2

Ishita: I am going to find Raman.

Mihir: Don't worry, Bhabhi we will find Bhai.

Romi: I will come with you guys too.

The three of them ran down and were about to sit in Ishita's car when the watchman came running to Ishita.

Watchman: "Madamji wait."

Ishita: "What happened?? I am in a rush right now."

Watchman: "Mam, Raman Sir just came and gave me his car keys and asked me to give them to you. He told me to tell you that his car is yours now."

Ishita: "When did he come? Where did he go afterwards?"

Watchman: "He left about 10 minutes ago that way."

Romi, Ishita and Mihir got into the car and went the way the watchman had told them. They searched for Raman for a while, but couldn't find him anywhere.

Romi: "Bhabhi there is no way we can find Bhai in Delhi. He could have already left the city for all we know."

Mihir: "Bhabhi, Romi is right. Maybe we should go back home for now. We can try calling his friends to find out where he is."

Ishita: "If you two want to go back home, then go ahead, but I need to find Raman."

Romi: "Bhabhi what about Ruhi?? It's almost midnight and Ruhi won't go to sleep without you and even you know that. Come on Bhabhi. "

Disappointed the three of them return home. Everyone consoles Ishita, telling her that Raman probably needs time away and he will be back by tomorrow. Ishita puts up a strong face in front up everyone, but is very mad at Raman and worried about him at the same time. She goes to Ruhi's room and tries to put Ruhi to sleep.

Ruhi: "Ishima where is Papa?"

Ishita: "Ruhi, he had some important work to do, so he will be late today. Now go to sleep."

Ruhi: "Do I have to give food to Papa again or are you going to feed him today?"

Tears were forming in Ishita's eyes. She couldn't believe Raman did something like this. He didn't think about Ruhi even once. What will Ruhi do without her Papa? How was she supposed to tell Ruhi that her dad left her just like her mom left her 6 years ago?

Ishita: "Don't worry about your Papa, I will make sure he eats and goes to sleep."

With great difficulty, Ishita puts Ruhi to sleep, but couldn't get herself to sleep. She kept on thinking about what happened in court today. ADI did the accident. Raman didn't cheat on her, he did everything for Adi, but he still could have told her. That day on the bench Raman had promised to tell her everything related to Adi, then why not this? Is she still just Ruhi's mom for Raman or was something else stopping him from telling her the truth. Did he not trust her? Ishita came out of her thoughts when she heard her phone ring. She saw the name that flashed on the screen; RAMAN. She quickly answered the phone.

Ishita: "Raman where are you? How dare you leave without telling anyone? Everyone is so worried about you. Ruhi keeps on asking me about you, what do you want me to tell her? Huh, answer me Raman."

She was expecting Raman to say something, but instead she heard an unknown voice. An unknown female voice.

Unknown Voice: "Excuse me, are you Ishita Bhalla?"

Ishita: "That's me, but who are you and why do you have my husband's phone? Where is he?"

Unknown Voice: "So he is your husband. Mrs. Bhalla actually I was driving to my house and I saw your husband lying unconscious on the road. It was very cold outside and it seemed like it was going to rain, so I brought him to my house. He kept on calling your name, so I called your phone from his phone."

Ishita: "Is Raman okay?? What's your address? I am coming to get him right now."

The lady gave Ishita her address. Ishita picked up Ruhi and took her to her grandparents' room. Then she picked up her keys and left to go get Raman. She drove as fast as she could. She was mentally preparing herself to blast Raman for leaving them and not revealing the truth about Adi, but inside even she knew she wanted to just hug Raman and tell him to never leave her. She reached the address she had gotten from the lady. She rang the doorbell and a lady opened the door to her.

Ishita: "I'm Ishita Bhalla. I got a call saying my husband is here."

Lady: "Hi I am Dia. Come on in. Your husband is inside."

Ishita walked into the house.

Ishita: "Thank you so much for finding my husband."

Dia: "No problem. Have a seat."

Ishita: "No thanks, where is Raman?"

Dia: "He is in that room, but he's still unconscious"

Ishita literally ran into the room. There she saw Raman lying unconscious. She walked over to the bed and sat on the edge by Raman.

Raman (unconscious): "Ishita...Ishita I'm sorry."

Ishita tried to stop herself, but couldn't help it and held his hand. As soon as she touched his hand, she could tell he was running a high fever. When she touched his hand, it was almost as if Raman recognized her touch. He slowly opened his eyes. He saw Ishita next to him and he looked around the unfamiliar place. Just then Dia walked in with a glass of water.

Dia: "Thank god, you're finally conscious."

Raman: "Ishita? How did you find me? And where are we? And who is she?"

Dia: "Relax we will explain everything. Here just have some water first."

Raman tried to get up from the bed, but couldn't. So Ishita helped get up and sit on the bed. This whole time Raman was staring at her, wondering why she still cared for him after all he has done, but then again, she was Ishita. Ishita, a woman who would help her worst enemy if they were hurt. That's just how she was.

Ishita: "Raman you fainted on the road and this lady, Dia saw you and brought you here to her house. Then she called me from your phone."

Raman: "I am so sorry I caused both of you so much trouble."

Dia: "It's alright, as long as you're okay now and I am sorry for going through your phone, but it was sort of an emergency."

Ishita: "I think we should leave now."

Ishita helped Raman get to the car and thanked Dia once again for her help. When the both of them were finally in the car, Ishita drove away from the house, but stopped a few blocks down the road. It was now just the two of them on the empty road. Ishita thought it was the right time to confront him.

Ishita: "Raman why? Why did you leave the house? Have you gone mad? I thought you would face your problems instead of running away like a coward. Did you really think that going to another city will help? Do you know how many lies I had to tell Ruhi? She wouldn't stop asking me about her dad. Amma is at home blaming herself for all this and mummyji is feeling so guilty for slapping you. Seriously Raman, I didn't have much expectations from you after you lied to me, but I certainly didn't expected you to do this."

Raman: "Ishita, I left the house because I couldn't face anyone after court today. I have been a horrible father, a horrible son-in-law and an absolutely horrible husband. I ruined Adi's life, broke my family's trust and god know what else. I don't deserve to have a loving family and I certainly don't deserve a wife like you. And you know, in that letter, I was talking about leaving the city or in fact leaving the country. I was talking about..."

Ishita: "About what..."

Raman then reached into his pocket and pulled out a bottle. Ishita grabbed the bottle from his hand. It was POISON.

Ishita: "RAMAN! Have you lost your mind?!?"

Raman: "Ishita I couldn't see another way out of this. I have dug a hole so deep for myself, I don't think I will ever be able to come out of it. When I initially hid the truth from you, I was ready to spend my whole life winning your trust back and apologizing, but then when I saw how much I had hurt you and how much I had hurt the whole family, I realized that I would never be able to win back your trust and I don't deserve forgiveness. That's why I thought there is no point in living if the people you love don't trust you."

Ishita: "Then if that's the case, you don't trust me either. Does that mean I should go and commit suic-

Raman: No. Ishita, don't you ever say that again. Have you ever thought about what will happen to everyone if you...and why would you say I don't trust you?

Ishita: "Well you didn't think about everyone else, then why should I? And Raman you don't trust me because if you did, then you would have told me everything. You know if you had told me everything, this matter wouldn't have gone so far. That anniversary party night, you had promised to tell me everything related to Adi."

Raman: "Ishita, I wanted to tell you, but Shagun stopped me by giving Adi's kasam. I am really sorry."

Ishita: "Raman I understand all this has been difficult for you, but what you were about to do wasn't going to solve this problem. And how do you know I won't forgive you or trust you if you don't try to get forgiveness or my trust?"

Raman: "Wait, does that mean that you will forgive me??"

Ishita: "Raman I honestly don't know myself. Right now I need time and until I figure all this out, the only relationship we share is the one of Ruhi's mom and Ruhi's dad. It's very late. We should go home now."

With that Ishita started driving back home. The drive back home was very quiet. Raman and Ishita were both in their own thoughts. Raman thinking of ways to win Ishita back and Ishita thinking about whether Raman should be forgiven.
