This was so perfect !
It made us realize that ashok was human and more than that that we could like him.

And the interaction those two have. Gosh, so BEAUTIFUL !!! I love ishra nok jok but the convo you write is so deep and emotional. And which make it so likeable is that they are not attracted to each other and that it's not romantic. They could be the best friend ever.

So much potential ! Seriously, this was REALLY good.

Glad that you liked it. As for Ashok, it never sat well with me that he was just portrayed as this evil character. I mean in the show, he doesn't really love Shagun, yet he is loyal. He has no reason for this hatred towards Raman. I mean, he did take away his wife and broke his family. So for all intents and purposes, he has won. So why then, this continued war??

The question was, what made Ashok Khanna tick?
Raman was a chomu six years back. He was. And to be a person with so much power, yet to be jealous of a mere employee to such extent, well it just doesn't make sense to me.

So this was just my way, to justify his reasons.
Because I need a cause for every action.
I am just a little weird that way. :)

Hello Richa, what a pleasing piece you've penned. From the first letter its a revelation of sorts.Ashok finding Ishita in bookstore of all places and what follows from there makes me wish they had a story of their own. These two, your visions don't belong in the canon sonali mam has penned.sadly,though.The show's ashok has been reduced to such proportions that he offends me when he addresses women after the pervmeet track.ahh, leave that though.
You have commendable vision.Do share more of it with us.Thank you for this.
Take care😊

Thank you. :)
I think Ashok as a character, had real potential. Has real potential.
I mean, look at him. He is this big shot corporate man, with this huge mansion and a trail of servants so long that he'd probably have to name them as Number 1, 2, 3.

He also has a beautiful girl-friend, albeit stolen, and this ready made kid. And instead of appreciating that, all he thinks about is Raman. Which also would have been fine with me, if I'd have been given a reason.
Any reason!

Like why Shagun? We have been seeing this show for months now, and we are still confused.
Does he love her? Or is she just that good in bed? Or is it just to spite Raman?

And if this whole fiasco is for Raman, then why?

Why would a man who has everything, be jealous of a man of average looks, a man who is an employee?
And even if he were jealous, why is he still jealous?

Didn't he get everything?
And as much as I hate Raman right now, which is also the reason this OS had only Ishita and Ashok, the fact remains that he doesn't solicit Ashok's and Shagun's attention.

That is all on them.

So then, the question still remains.

Why?

Thank you so much.

The whole purpose for writing this piece was to show that Ishita and Ashok have a connection too.
I was tired of the whole 'I-have-to-be-with-Shagun-as-she-is-Adi's-mother' nonsense.

Well, if they have that, then Ashok and Ishita have two partners who are in this black hole of a relationship. Even if it is hatred, its a hatred with so much passion, that it should be offensive to their respective partners.

I mean you should only be allowed to hate with such intensity to someone you love.

Raman will have a sensous dance with Shagun and then make her trip, To prove a point.
Why not just ignore her?

Raman will apologize to Shagun for forgetting the date. And to make up for it, he will reminisce about the fifty thousand earrings. All these actions should have been for Ishita.
He should have forgotten her birthday and then made it up to her.

He should have told her about the culprit and then looked for a solution.
Because that is what husbands do!

To have the audacity to blame her during the Parmeet track, because she did not tell him about everything that was going on, and then doing something even worse.

At least she was thinking about his sister, and he, as usual is thinking about himself. How is this any different from demeaning her in front of Adi when she apologized?

Shagun is right, you know.

She does come first.

Always has and always will.

To make Ashok fully evil, in the show he is portrayed as a non-loving guy, even towards shagun. But in "reality"/in the book, he is madly in love with her. Not mad and devoted like Raman was but with a lot of confidence : he wants her and he'll have her. And after he has her, he loves her and that is all, nothing else matters. Only his love for shagun. He doesn't doubt, he has no remorse, he has no questions.
In the book, he also doesn't hate Raman, in fact he doesn't care one bit about Raman. He's not jealous of him, he's not guilty of breaking his home.
In the show he hates Raman because (in my opinion, and if i'm not wrong, that's what showed your OS) Shagun is still attached to him. She is with Ashok but his love doesn't suffice her. She want Ashok's love and money and she still want to have Raman's desperate devotion. And she thinks she deserves it because she was his first wife. And that doesn't sit right with Ashok, if he can give EVERYTHING to Shagun, why is she still attached to Raman? I guess he doesn't realize that Shagun as a bigger ego than anyone. And he thinks that destroying Raman is the solution.

Second point : in the show Ashok is portrayed as proud so maybe he doesn't like the idea of Raman (an ex-employee) being a concurrent and that pushes him to hate Raman.

To conclude, i think that the show portrays Ashok hating Raman hence stilling his girl friend (which, i'm with you, doesn't make sense), when it fact it should be : Ashok hating Raman because Shagun still is attached to him.

And i applaud you for still trying to justify what happens in indian shows because whenever i watch a show, i put my brain on "off mode" otherwise i get headache because not much makes sense! 😆
