They stood there in the lift with no words exchange. Raman quietly handed over her phone and wanted to escort her to her car. He had a wish to drop her home too. But wo zayada hojayega, Raman. Game bhi toh nahi harna! He scolded himself. Waise he she is leading! Pehle do bol pe clean bowled hone ke baad seedha ek chauka maar diya! Bachke Raman kahi ye Jhansi ki Rani Jang ke maidan ka set-up toh nahi badal rahi? He smiled at his stupid thoughts and then glanced left side to his wife. She smiled back.
Raman, aap toh apne aap ko har cheez mein champion samajhte ho na? Waise samajhne se kya hota hai! Hona chahiye aur wo mein hu! Apne mera salsa ka chupa hua hunar toh dekh he liya hai! Ab acting ki bari hai! Mein one of the best theatre-play actors' thi... I mean hu! Aur zayadatar uss Subbu ke saath pair-up hoti thi! She frowned at the thought. Acha hai wo sirf plays ke liye tha aur Raman ne nahi dekha! Warna Raman play mein villain who turns hero ki tarah entry lete aur Bechara Subbu! Humesha end mein wo hi harta mere Raman se!
Ishita happily smiled at that. Raman saw her smiling to herself. Dying of the curiosity he casually asked, "Kya hua kiske bare mein soch kar muskura rahi ho?" Ishita just smiled.
Raman moved to her and jerked her hand to face him. "Main sachi bol raha hu! Khoon kar dunga uska!"
Ishita bursted out laughing. Pata hai Ravan Kumar? Mein bhi yahi soch rahi thi!
She answered in between her laughter fits, "Mujhe bhi toh batao apne aap ko kaise maaro ge Raman?"
Raman stammered, utterly confused at his good-for-nothing possessive outburst. He had lost that feeling after confession but thanks to her stupid act he was on the old track again. Angry at her he furiously pulled her to himself as she crashed on his chest. "Ye sab confusion tumhari wajah se hai! Main acha bhala khush tha? Kya zaroorat thi ye sab karne ki?"
Ishita smiled. Bhadko Mr. Bhalla! Aur Bhadko! Number One... Farmhouse se wapis ane ke raste mein kuch nahi bolna mujhe kal kitchen mein tang karne ke liye! Number two... apke office mein aake drama karna mujhe bathroom mein tang karne ke liye! Number three... ye frustration ye bet lagane ke liye! Number four... ab jo mein karne wali hu, Ishita Raman Bhalla ko underestimate karne ke liye! And also ki aap aage kabhi aise bet na lagaye!
Before Ishita could answer back or Raman could continue with his Ramblings the lights went off and the lift stopped to the horror of Ishita, Oh! Really?
"Aiyyoo Morgan! Raman ye lights ko kya hogaya? Lift ruk kyu gayi?" Ishita screamed and started shivering in his arms.
Raman at any other time with someone else would have laughed out at the person for the stupid fear, but weren't the things different this time? It was Ishita who was scared his life!
"Shit! Ishita, are you ok?" Raman questioned worried.
Ishita felt a little tug at her heart, but she was adamant to teach this man a lesson, to mess with his wife.
"Ramaaannn, I'm scared!" She fumbled and hugged Raman tightly.
Shit! I understand that this woman is worried but we could have found another way right? Hug karne kiya Zaroorat thi? Waise he apne aap ko itna samjha chukka hu ki ye office hai lakin nahi! Ziddi Bewakoof Aurat! No Raman! She is scared just hug her back. Back? Damn! Remember Raman the back of the blouse just had strings... pull one and it... Shut up! No Raman! She is scared. Stop your dirty mind! Stop your dirty mind! She is your wife and she is scared. Repeating it again as if consoling himself he hugged her back. His hand touched her bare back. Shiver ran down the spines of both. Their closeness did wonders to each other, equally and there they were going crazy betting each other silly.
Ishita smiled secretly. Mein janti thi apki care jeetegi! Par ab aaya na Ravan Kumar Jhansi ki Rani ke Ghode ke neeche! Par mujhe pata nahi tha ki ye itna difficult hoga! Inki closeness mein pehle he kuch samajh nahi aata ab toh lagta hai pagal he hojaongi! Mu! Kya zarorat thi aisa plan banana ki? Hum Dono ek doosre se affect hote hai aur pyaar karte hai! Tujhe samajhna tha Ishu! Bus thodi der aur Ishu, Raman ko track pe lana hai!
"It's ohk Ishu! All is good! Mein phone karke dekhta hu!" Raman tried to console her. He was fumbling with the pockets to find the phone. He pulled it out to find no signal. Tujhe pehle he Ishita ke aas pass kuch sujhta nahi ab gajni bhi ban ja Raman, lift never had signal.
"Damn!" He cursed in the dark.
Taking that as a clue, Ishita hugged him even tighter, "Mujhe bahut darr lag raha hai Raman."
Raman in order to comfort her accidently brushed against his hand against her back again.
Shit! Both cursed in their mind.
"Ye Mihir ka baccha kaha mar gaya?" Raman mumbled.
Haan! Meine kaha tha 10 mins! Ye toh lagta hai bhool he gaya!
Back where Mihir and Romi sat with the electrician.😎
"Bhabhi ke idea pe hum sixer marte hai!" Romi sat there unaware of the exact plan but as if it was self declared, that he was in Ishita's team.
Mihir was no less. He wanted to return the love, care and fun that his Bhai had lost all these years and he knew very well that the key was Ishita.
"Bhaiya Bhai ka office 5th floor pe hai aur abhi wo 3rd floor pe ruke hai toh aap lift ko pehle seedha 7th floor pe lo! Aur phir seedha 2rd pe. Bus phir 2 min roke wapis se upar 5th floor pe leke normal kar dena! Samjhe?" Mihir explained meticulously to the electrician.
Romi and Mihir left giggling imagining their Bhai and Bhabhi.
"Wah! Mihir tune to Bhabhi ke plan mein kya sahi tadka lagaya!" Romi jumped with excitement. "Maan toh kar raha hai neeche parking mein jake un dono ke laal chehro ko dekhu!"
"Nahi nahi pagal hai kya shak hojayega unhe! Waise haan Ishita bhabhi ka plan kuch bhi ho! Kuch bhi plan jo unhe kareeb lata ho uska mein supporter hu!" Mihir smiled.
"Main bhi!" Romi smiled too.
Back in the lift
Raman moved back breaking the hug a little, "Ab theek ho Ishu?"
Dekha Ishu? Pyaar aaraha hai na mujhpar isley!
"Hmm" She nodded and moved back.
When suddenly the left jerked started and started moving upwards at a faster speed than normal!
Ishita jumped, Ohk now she was really terrified. No more acting ;)
"Rammaaann!" she screamed. Raman rushed to her. Uski scream achanak se genuine kyu lag rahi hai?
He hugged her. They both weren't prepared for the next unexpected jerk and fell.
Ishita fell on Raman as he held her securely. Afraid of the speed at which the lift was going down Ishita buried her head in his neck. Her lips brushed against her skin burning both of them with desire.
Ishita was afraid of the Raman's life. Kya zaroorat thi Ishita! Dekh toh tu kiski life danger mein daal rahi thi stupid game ka sabak sikhane ke liye Raman ko! Seedha seedha bol deti Raman feelings are not a game! Aise nahi karna chahiye tha! Mu! I love you, Raman!
Raman was afraid of snapping of his self control. Dekh Raman remember Offfice hai! Office hai! Kya zaroorat thi isko chodne aane ki? But then he remembered sending out that same manager as he entered. Aree nahi acha hai aagaya nahi toh yaha Ishita ke saath wo hota! Idiot! I Love you, Ishita!
They stayed in the same position fighting their feelings when suddenly they felt the lift stop and move up again at a normal pace now.
They moved and looked into each other's eyes.
Ishita had tears. Raman was scared, "Kya hua Ishita?" "I'm sorry, Raman!! Mujhe apke pass hone se bahut farak padta hai! I love you!" Ishita hugged her husband.
"I love you too, Ishita! I'm sorry! It's ohk! Chalo ab utho!" Raman moved and they both got up. The lift by now had reached the basement. There was a bell. Both checked their dresses and walked out together with Raman's hand on her waist.
Raman was happy and so was Ishita. They secretly wished such more incidents...
Bus Raman ki life danger mein na ho! Ishita thought.
Bus mujhe mere self-control ka test na dena pade! I'll fail next time, pakka! Raman thought.
They quietly sat in the car as Raman drove to drop his wife home.
In the evening
Raman didn't leave for office again. He just called Mihir and asked him to get files home.
Now he strolling in the dining room waiting for files.
Ishita was at Iyers. She had initially gone there to get back Adi and Ruhi. But landed up chatting with her mother while the kids played with their Nanu and Muttu!
He startled by the noises at is door. Mihika and Mihir were laughing at something.
"Kya hua Mihir?" Raman asked.
"Aree kuch nahi Bhai Mihika bata rahi thi aa pehle baar hai jab bhabhi lift mein lock hogayi!" Mihir smiled.
"Haan! Wo ek baar amma ke ghar ke samne wale mall mein lock ho gayi thi meri cousin sister ke saath." Mihika explained.
"Phir toh bahut darr gaye honge dono?" Raman asked curiously.
"Darr aur Akka? Darr ke toh sirf meri cousin bahar aayi thi! Akka toh gaane sunte huyi aayi thi! Unme bahut patience hai!" Mihika laughed. "Acha Mihir chalo ghar coffee peeke jaana!"
Mihir handed over the files to Raman and went with Mihika.
Just then he saw Ishita coming from her home and going to the room.
Oh! toh ab samajh aya ki baad mein jab lift teez huyi toh iska darr genuine kyu tha? Kyuki pehle natak tha! Raman smirked. Tabhi wo baadme darr gayi thi mere liye aur sorry bol ke confess kar rahi thi! Agar Female James Bond ke husband jaisa demag use karu toh iska matlab uska plan sirf lift 5-10 min rok ke mera self control snap karna tha! He smiled. Issley toh I love you Ishita tumhare liye kbhi bhi kuch bhi mujhse important nahi hoga! Yaha tak ki mera challenge bhi! Jab tumhe laga that you might hurt me you backed off. Mujhe lagta tha mein tumhe jitna pyaar karta hu usse zayada kabhi nahi kar sakta but meine abhi realise kar sakta hu! I can love you more Ishita, more! And I know that each day I discover something new about you to fall in love with!
With this he moved to his room and shut it. Ishita looked shocked and confused to see tears roll down Raman's cheek. She rushed forward to him wiping his tears, "Kya hua, Raman?"
"Maine bhi tumse lift mein yahi poocha tha! Aur tumke ansu tapkate tapkate itne badi baat chipkadi! I never thought that I can love you more than what I did, but I just realised I love you more. I'm sorry Ishita! I was never playing a game! It was just out of my naughtiness but isme bhi tumhare selfless love ne hara diya mujhe! Kabhi to jitney do mujhe, Ishu! I'm sorry, you win!" he eyes only had love filled in depths of it!
Ishita gladly smiled at him, "Tumne mujhe jeet toh liya hai Raman ab bakki ki zindagi mujhe jeetne do!"
Raman looked amazed at this wonder woman, his JKR, "Done, madam. I would love to lose if I get this gift in return." Raman crashed his lips on her and she responded with equal vigour.
