How many working moms as lucky as Ishita?

Guys...this post is not related to YHM as such but was rather curious to know the following...

Isn't Ishita's portrayal as a working mom rather unrealistic?

For working moms esp moms abroad...it's not that easy to balance work and life...Also, it isn't fair to have grandparents manage kids all the time...In Ishu's case seems like most of Ruhi's needs are taken care of by the bhalla's and Iyers...What exactly does she do for Ruhi ?? Even teaching they have a teacher coming in...

I wish they would show just ishu and raman managing ruhi's affairs and not have all other family members pitch in...

you can't really deem a woman "independent" if her independence is only achieved by being dependent on others for all but financial needs...!!..Right now Ishu is only financially independent...I really want to see them handle work and life on their own...when one needs to involve daycares or nannies the whole equation is different and from what I see in my life and other working moms, it's us moms who have it much harder than the dads...how many agree?

To be honest, as a child who has been brought up abroad I can attest to the fact that the portrayal is very real in the sense that many working parents DO have their children taken care of or looked after by their child's grandparents. My parents were never so fortunate since both sets of grandparents had passed on; plus they had flexibility because they ran their own business so we spent all our time there at the restaurant.

However, growing up around a large East- Indian Diaspora (specifically punjabi NRIs) A lot of afterschool care etc, is with a Dadi, Nani etc, since they live in a joint family or one where the grandparent lives in the same house hold.

Is it real to every working couple? No, but it's a fairly common theme across the bored.

I DO think what Ishita has to offer is the most vital thing of all for Ruhi: Unconditional love. she loves that child so much and is SUCH a positive role model of an educated, successful, smart, loving and beautiful person.

Being a good parent doesn't mean you're necessarily with your child 24/7 ;)

Sorry but I disagree with grandparents involvement part.

I live in UK and there are many women who I know are incredibly successful and their kids are being taken care by their grandparents. Grandparents are also important as one's parents.

Grandparents provide comfort and emotional support to the kids and they have the experience and wisdom are more easygoing and can provide good education to their grandchildren. After all they were the ones to raise your parents.

Never underestimate the power of grandparents. I loved my late grandfather very much, and he taught me about courage, wisdom and money-wise. He taught me so much. My mother was raised by her grandfather and she cherished every moment and every memory of him. She wouldn't have it any other way.

Women can be independent and they are independent with the support of their loved ones . Ishita is a perfect example. It's realistic. Yes they could have another child care arrangements but it's would be unnecessary if the child's healthy grandparents live nearby and can do the job better than any childminders. They love their grandchildren as much as one's parents would. Plus not mention it's would save money.

Just my opinion, I apologise if I offend anyone 😊
