I remember this was tried in an older show, Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki, where Ali Asghar, the favorite positive devar, was shown as the murderer or something; but they had to show it as false as nobody was ready to see him as negative. It did not match the character. Same with Mihir. It does not match the character. If Mihir did the accident or something, he would have confessed or at least helped Amma to the hospital. Balaji would not try this again; for their sake, I hope not!
