There is just something so perfect about this show..There are few shows which have perfectly written characters..Most of them start off well only to fizzle out in a couple of months..The rest of them sustain thanks to the brilliance of the leads or the ensemble cast..And there are shows which just thrive on cliched saas-bahu drama with sub-standard acting..But this show stands out in comparison to most shows out there and how..There are soaps where i get annoyed the moment the focus is off the leads simply because the rest of the characters don have it in them to carry the show on their shoulders..And then there are shows which sustain simply because the leads have sizzling chemistry..But with YHM, most of the scenes are so well thought out that its almost unreal..Take the Toshi-Madhu scene in today's episode for instance..How heartwarming was it to see Toshi try her best to revive Madhu? Two women who cant stand each other, always looking for an opportunity to put down the other, are plain nasty when they have a fight yet when the need arose, all the bitterness vanished..And the acting was the icing on the cake..I swear that scene was perfection..
And i don want to demean Ishita-Raman by just saying they have good chemistry..Thats all we get to hear about most couples on Telly tbh..Raman-Ishita have something more..A lot more than chemistry..There is depth, emotion, realism & not to mention perfect progression..They don indulge in shallow eye locks or trip fall catch scenes..There is just so much more to their relationship..And i swear Raman is one of the best written characters on Telly..And KP owns the character like a boss..KP-Divyanka are not your candyfloss couple whose characters indulge in teenage ( read cheesy) romance..There is this maturity and depth they bring to the characters which is outstanding..
Oh and i have to appreciate the way the other characters are written..The writers have done a brilliant job in writing Romi's character..Perfect grey shade..He makes you go aww when he is with his Ishita bhabhi and Ruhi & he also has the ability to disgust you when he plots against Bala..Perfectly realistic character..
And i swear i love the chemistry between Raman & Shagun..I have to use the word chemistry here cos IMO, KP and Anita nail the exes part..The comfort that exes usually share, the subtle contempt-its all there..Its just perfect..And Anurag does perversion like no other..So understated yet so creepy 😆
Finally, i have to mention, i totally adore the relationship between Ishita and Ruhi..Reason why i started watching the show..Its all sorts of perfect..There was this scene in the first month where Ishita teaches Ruhi table manners and i swear i was sold that very moment..I hope to God this one relationship always remains untouched & pure😳
Ah thats a long post..But i really had to gush😆 This show is that good..And my darling Adi is the perfect kala tikka 😳 God bless that expressionless kid 😳😆 All in all, this show has one hell of an ensemble cast..And the writers are bloody brilliant..Here is hoping Ekta never ruins it and ends the show on a good note without taking leap after leap 😆
