Hey Leo...

I have completely the opposite views... today is my day of disagreements I think 😆

I understand both languages (Tamil a lot more than Punjabi). For me, Raman's speech seemed a lot more natural than Ishita's, if you put it in the context of a Punjabi attempting something in Tamil. His effort in pronouncing every word was evident.

I think Ishita's speech came out too easy. Agreed, her eyes and face were more expressive, but as a speech i think it was too easy. Thats the only word I can use to express it.
maybe because her speech came second, I am feeling this way?

and no, I am not saying this because I like Raman's character 😊

Well said! Finally, I am glad I wasn't the only one, who thought Raman's speech was more natural and his gestures were very smooth and touching. I loved Ishu's speech too but felt Raman was better.

I can guess no one can beat the original 😉

As for me Both were good in their own way. She was more expressive than him. That's why it looked more real. But he is an introvert n didnt express much. The Tamil speech was a big thing for him to appreciate his wife in front of others that too with an unknown language. His idea was innovative. He just learnt his portion of speech in Tamil not the language. So there was no need to show him that he knew it already. It made an impact on ISHITA that's why she ended up giving Punjabi speech. It showed their character to us how much effort they were taking for each other to say a sorry n thank you.Whatever he does he did it in his own style It's different from others. She is also learning from him akhir biwi kiski hai.

well I obviously don't agree lucky

Raman speech was flowing smoothly and perfectly for someone alien to language

While ishita seemed natural fumbling and stumbling her way through speech

Yes Leo... i guess its the familiarity with languages (both for us and for the characters) makes the difference in perspective...

We'll respectfully agree to disagree on this one :)

As u say ramans speech was amazing coz it took me by surprise..
I wasnt a regular to d show then..but saw dat episode and it was too sweet..

ishitas speech looked natural as u say..
ramans perfect..

but it kinda goes with their character..
raman 'perfect' bhalla who will never accept his mistakes..say for salasa dance..knowing dat ishita is better..he practised and perfected himself...

ishita is more accepting..haan bhai mai human hoon galti ho sakti hai type...
a lil less confident..

so it was perfect for me..
it wudve been great if d surprise could hv been something else..
coz d same idea took away ishitas marks..lol..

Yup...and I believe the script was written in English, so it was easier for him to give the speech. And, I think Karan was rehearsing the scene for few days, as we saw the promo 4-5 days before the episode. And, Divyanka perhaps rehearsed for one or two days according to the SBS segment came yesterday. And, someone also said that Punjabi is far difficult to pronounce than Tamil.

So, I would say, both were good. But, Divyanka/Ishita was better😳.

Dear it's not about originality or looking good and giving dashing smiles. It's about natural accent, which was carried and showed better by Ishita.

Anyways, respect your views😛.
