Such a well-written post
Short and simple...loved it! Indeed ishu has completed what Shagun neither had the courage nor ability to.

Hey

I took a lot of will power for me to not read your post today. Only because I had not watched the segments and did not want anything to spoil the surprise for me. But I had promised myself I'd come to this post once I watched the episode...

Wonderful post... and you have eloquently described the symbolism. The Shagun dance, her falling, Ashok coming to get her, the speech and the invitation, they all seemed like entertainment shots, but are actually deeper... I would like add something else to the mix too if I may 😊

Raman's invitation to Ishita:::
I would like to think of it as a real proposal... This is the FIRST time he's asking for her hand. The dance, the speech, the whole spectacle is an allegory! He wants to declare to everyone present, INCLUDING Ishita that he wants her on his journey. No one else. Not because she is the best mother for Ruhi, but because she is a gem of a woman.

Thank you! 😃 Excellent analysis on the proposal at the end. It was absolutely significant. I have been told repeatedly, that everything that is included into a script by the writers is there with a purpose. I love how you mentioned about this being his first and most legitimate proposal to Ishita, without the inclusion of external factors (Ruhi being prime). That little speech and dance in general for me felt like closure for Raman. After I watched the episode, I realized that this time, Raman let go of Shagun, not the other way around. When he asked Ishita for her hand as a companion, I actually sighed. It was beautiful. It was as though he recognized that Ishita was his true match, and was letting her know that she was the only one befitting to embark on this journey with him. That whole scene to me was so symbolic, and even the writers alluded to it through Raman's comment on the dress colour. It kind of convinced me that there was indeed a greater thought given to the sequence than just entertainment value. So thank you for commenting on that, always love to here analyses!
