The CV's have portrayed Bala's character very clearly, also his equation with Ishita. But at certain times his character has been compromised by the CV's for the sake of the story... After watching Bala - Ishita equation as the story has progressed it is very hard to believe he kept quiet in the two instances you mentioned. Either CV's should have made Bala not present in those circumstances since they wanted Raman to bail Ishita out in the first scenario and wanted the viewers to understand how Subbu's mother ill treats Ishita... (This is what I understand)

All I want to say is that both the situations... Parmeet one and Subbu one are very different... They differ vastly in terms of criminal quotient. So does the Bala - Ishita and Raman - Ishita relationship. It would have been more realistic of Raman had calmly told Bala " look here, knowing Ishita for these few months I understood what you felt when I kept silent but these were my reasons for the silence" because end of the day Raman's loyalty to Ishita is more important than Bala's loyalty to Ishita ( she is his wife for Gods sake!)... Therefore I felt he had no reason to bring up the comparison.

I can completely understand that Raman was torn between loyalty to his sister and his wife ( no arguments there) when the matter came to light, but that arrogant outburst after they took Parmeet away was unnecessary. Rather a subtle explain of his situation would have been more believable and touching... This outburst felt more like Mr Darcy's proposal in Pride and Prejudice to Elizabeth Bennett that she could only refuse! 😆
