If he really loved his sister, he could have made it a family thing telling them that as the mobile was not with Ishita, the messages were obviously not sent by her. He could have argued, made parmeet confess in front of his wife simmi and asked them to live separately .

If he really wanted to tell the iyer's family how he is going to beat parmeet and make a speech also, he could have done it with proper evidence and a short speech. He is not running an election.

He has done it because Ishita is his wife, not charity and it is not a thing to shout about. And he should have been grateful to Bala for coming to Ishita's rescue when she was in jail. But he wanted to humiliate Bala and shout at him.

Ishita is so happy that she can have a husband atlast, though a confused one. He said that he did it for Ishita and sacrificed his sister's happiness and also his happiness.

He tried raping ishita and then tried to paint her as a scarlet woman out to seduce him and someone who is characterless and that was a situation involving taking a stand.. and again that is not to disown family.. just find the culprit... so fine raman did not have proof so he allowed ishita to be thrown out and gathered proof... but he needn't have tried to justify himself by pulling down and trying to paint another person in a bad light by impying that he does not practice what he preaches... which is not even true... how did u want to bala to take a stand in sucha case? disown his mother and brother? and hasn't Bala been by Ishu's side throughout in all her problems? what other way can he practice what he preaches? and I will wait for tomorrow to see what is it he says about ishita not thinking about simmi!!! if it is the way I understood it that was totally not done!!!!! anyway I guess for now this is how it will be... and hopefully things get better in their relationship from now on...

His mother has insulted ishita numerous times for no apparent reasons, did he say anything to her? no. Bala has supported ishita in everything but he could not protect her from his own mother.

Raman seemed frustrated, angry and hurt that no one from the iyer family had any faith him, that no one is willing to understand his predicament. He is not a perfect man and he it's easy to see that he still has ego problems. He will not change overnight but what he did today was more than anyone ever expect from him.

bala's mom is a witch and there is a reason why he never supports her but does it justify his silence when it is absolutely crucial for him to speak up? subbo's mom taunts ishita for no reasons other than her infertility and her previous involvment with her son. during that anniversary party, when she was going off at ishita, why didn't bala say anything? or why didn't he say anything when she was taunting ishita yet again during shravan's thread ceramony.
