WOW 7 pages already. I am late in joining this discussion: First things first : sensibly, coherently drafted post, with valid points👏
Some things in the last episode that worried me too:
- Simmi telling Ruhi that her Ishima was the reason they had to leave. That makes me think Simmi has the potential to go grey, I would like to believe that any woman (who is also a mother) in any frame of mind wouldn't ever do this to a child.
- The dialogue from Param where he said he has to ensure that at least his MIL and wife are always with him. He will do ANYTHING to make sure they still believe him
- The scene about taxi versus bus. I didnt understand it at the time. It felt like a filler scene. If Param wanted to run from there, he should have taken the first bus out. But the whole speech he gave to Simmi about him being capable of providing for his family (and bla bla bla... i tuned out there) seems interesting now. He is still smartly maintaining the facade of the proud, innocent, wronged son in law.
Sarika would be unreliable as a witness in any court now. Honestly, if we didnt know the whole story, we wouldnt believe her either. Simmi could always say "Who's to say Raman didnt bribe her, blinded by love for his wife". She could even go on to blame Ishita that she was really planning this for a long time, and thats why they even lied about Sarika's back story about Dubai. I think it is highly likely that Simmi will turn grey. I still however dont believe she will become a regular vamp. That would just go against the nature of YHM. If it does happen, it doesnt matter if Ishita comes home, or if Raman goes to the Iyers. The mom-sister duo will still blame her for wreaking havoc in their family and then the story will end up being about them against Ishita. I do NOT want that to happen, no matter how many Ishra moments it gets me.
Having said that, may thats the ONLY way Raman realises how it feels to be left out in the cold by your own family. He will start realising what Ishita went through (as you said, if he is unaware of it). They would have both made the tactical error of thinking that their word would be enough. And yes, the proofs don't matter if you are not ready to believe the person bringing them to you.
BTW - Did Toshiji SEE ishita's phone in the house? or did she just hear Ishita saying she'd left her phone there ?
Also, about the Perv, its HIGHLY likely that he will join Ashok. Whether Simmi betrays her brother for Shagun is something we'll have to wait and watch I guess
Here goes a quote I love a lot, and which I've been reminded of while watching this last week's episodes and all the discussions on the forum:
"All happy families are alike; each unhappy family is unhappy in its own way." - Leo Tolstoy, Anna Karenina
Aani - your posts MAKE me write long replys... You are to blame for my Ramayan Replies 😆
