A boy is the only waris? Appalled by this dialogue

Honestly, what the hell was with that dialogue? In a country where girls are being killed before they're even born because parents want a male heir, this was just unacceptable. I don't know what kind of backwards people are writing this nonsense. Well, it's that type of mentality that is ruining your country.

Are these writers not educated? I for one was disgusted and don't feel like watching this show anymore. It's extremely regressive and I hope Indians change their mentality soon because the whole world is watching how women are continually being disrespected.

Pathetic dialogue in the entire show! So, millionaires with girl children specially adopt a male child to take care of their property or what? And what about the ones without any heirs? Nonsense! Ladkiyon ko ginti nahi aati...? Morons!

Yeh, even I am not liking Toshiji's rants about only a son can be a heir. Keeping her emotions aside, this is just not acceptable and is regressive. They need to promote progressive views rather than pulling on the issue more...Its always about puttars, and their puttars and so on...

These writers are idiots. When will people learn some simple science? It's called genetics. You are equally related to a daughter as you are to a son. 50/50 from both parents. So, why is there a difference again? A girl is an heir as much as the son is.

What school did these writers attend? Clown college?

Knowing about Toshi's feelings and talks, seems like it might be Toshi who will bring Shagun in Raman's life again😡. Yuck! I am hating myself saying this, but you never know😲!!

And..yeah, CVs should get rid of this sick thought. It's an urban story, and is focusing on modern life, so let's just show modern thoughts. This boy is the heir thing is too old and it is still prevailing, but also people are gradually moving out from this thought. So, why not our shows can?

the writers are reflecting the common thoughts of majority of the indians. believe it or not, in some cultures in india, a male child is considered the waaris and is given more importance. the writers are not "idiots" they are just highlighting a prevalent issue in indian society. yes it is backwards and regressive but it is the absolute truth and nothing wrong with pointing it out.

I'd like to say actually this show is far more progressive then any show on right now, yes what toshi ji said was bad and not cool, but if your gonna stop watching because for you this made the whole show regressive which I disagree with, Btw because it doesn't then so be it plenty of other shows to watch

. It just goes to show that she was in a emotional state but more then that it shows her old school mentality and how the older generation still hold on to some traditional and an old outdated concept. when people are emotional things are said when it wouldn't be said when they are in a right state of mind, it reveals and reflects their character. that kind of boys are heirs mentality would be stuck with toshi as it's ingrained in her and it in fact does reflect her character and that of many older generation people. who might not even be bad people or do do bad things or force anything onto their children . So I'm fine if the cvs included that only to shows toshis way of thinking. Toshi ji isn't a bad person but very hot tempered and jumps to conclusion but does have a good heart.

Edited: But I do want toshi to get her head on straight and stop this kind of thinking especially since ruhi is a such a strong wonderful child. She is a smart lady but she needs to get that mentality out, not good toshi but I'm sure she will change.
And like the above comment completely agree, after all this is a modern show but it's also about showing and displaying social issues still prevalent today.

I was glad that My Parents especially My Dad don't really watch YHM lekin I can imagine the hungama he would have created for what ToshiJi had said. What a disgusting mentality. I think it's much better to have a Girl child grow up to be like Ishu, Vandu and Mihika than a Boy child the freaking so called waris grow up to be like that Parmeet and Romi. ToshiJi needs to get her act right with this whole bloody waris thingy, it's getting on my last nerve.

My Dad would always say that having a Daughter is a BLESSING & the BEST thing. **MAJOR TOUCHWOOD** One of the examples he uses, if they pass away **touchwood..touchwood..touchwood** it will be the daughter who would sit beside them & genuinely moan with love. I think ToshiJi needs to have a one to one talk with My Grandma, she will screw ToshiJi left right centre. Waris are NOT only Boys BUT Girls as well. Just because she becomes a Daughter-In-Law doesn't mean she not a Daughter to her Parents anymore. ToshiJi should stop with this LAME ASS reason of Girls having to go away, NOW it's most likely the Boys are going away with their wives leaving his Parents to suffer. & it's super annoying to see her talk about Men-Waris when EXPECT for BhallaJi the rest of the men in the house are bloody USELESS.

@Red- This reminds me of the saying that Daughters are daughters till life and Sons are Sons till wife
