Lets think realistically!

Raman and Ishita got married for Ruhi. Ishita because she loves Ruhi and Raman initially because he wanted Ruhi's custody but deep down he loved his daughter but since he couldn't get past her reminding him of Shagun he was distant towards her. Before their marriage these two hated each other..had absolutely nothing in common. They come together for Ruhi and are still adjusting with each other..she with his cold sarcastic egotistical attitude and he with her lectures which constantly remind him of his own shortcomings.

Agreed, that Ishita is more accommodating, understanding, loving etc than Raman. She has dealt with what life has given her and moved forward whereas Raman has not. He is the eldest in his family with the responsibility of his siblings and parents and Shagun's affair and brainwashing of Adi shattered him to such an extent that he couldn't pick up the pieces nor did his pride allow him to ask help from his family. So he retreated into a shell built this cold wall around his heart and continued to prove to the world ( mostly to the creeps ) that he can make something of himself. In doing so he distanced himself and alienated himself from his entire family including Ruhi and most especially from the loving natured son, husband and father he was! He didn't handle what life dealt him as well as Ishita, obviously.

Him being rude and arrogant and using people to suit his needs is what he knows now. His desire to win over Adi is overshadowing right and wrong and he does know what he did was WRONG. I can understand his desire for Adi and what he forced Ishu to do. Adi is his first born a child born out of love (whether we like it or not when he was born both Shagun and him were in love) and he wants to un-brainwash Adi and get his love before its too late. This is the main reason for him stooping so low today. He KNOWS Ishu will bear anything for Ruhi or at least he believes so but of course she has a breaking point too!

My main purpose in making this post is to state that in my opinion although he says he has fallen from his daughter's eyes today, he actually has fallen in his own eyes. He HIGHLY REGRETS what he has done but he is a torn man..torn between right and wrong, torn between getting his son back before its too late and torn for his daughter and being a good father. Ishu has not become part of his equation because he has not let her come near his heart. But today is definitely a turning point because in order to redeem himself in his daughter's eyes and his own eyes he has to change and make some very very difficult decisions that no parent should have to make - How is going to redeem himself, how is going to realize that Ishu to a certain degree has chipped away at the stone wall built around his heart..that should make for interesting viewership in the coming episodes.

Sorry for the long post but this is my POV from knowing someone who went through what Raman did and had to give up his daughter for his daughter's sake as she was being torn to the point of no return as well as for his own sanity!

he clearly allowed Adi to emotionally blackmail him further assisting him in humiliating Ishita. even little Ruhi could sense something wrong in the conversation. Raman purposely allowed all this to happen to him. Is not there any other way to win over Adi or is he willing to loose Ruhi over Adi?

Nice post. I didn't like today's raman behaviour and I dont find any justification too. But still I don't hate him or bash him. Situation make you do those things which lessen the difference between right and wrong and that's what happened with him.

Good post... I would definitely say that epi was brilliant but can't defend Raman...
Though he had his own reasons, what he did today can't be forgiven... He couldn't understand what a 5 year old kid can...

Can understand his love for Adi but parents should correct their kids... They mustn't let them go in a wrong way...

He did a shameful act by taking Ruhi with them because he knew she's is Ishitha's weak point for whom Ishu can do anything...

I am not defending Raman but rather trying to find the reason behind his behaviour which is embedded in what he has been dealtt and couldn't find a way to handle appropriately. This is in no way to defend him, just to understand.

It says a lot when a small child like Ruhi realizes that what happened in the Chinese Restaurant was wrong and Raman knowing it was wrong still went ahead to humiliate a woman who has done so much for him and his daughter and his family.

When push came to shove Raman should not have hung his head knowing that what he was asking for was not right and should have taken a mature route and said ..."Sorry son I love you ... but what you did was wrong when wanting "Bhaang" and My wife was only trying to stop a child from doing something wrong.

I understand all that Raman has gone through but when you have a responsibility to bring up your children all good parents have to put their personal hurt aside and think of teaching your child good manners and good values and principles to live by.

Raman needs to stop blaming the world for his problems and taking it out on people that are trying to help him.

Sorry but in my opinion he made a big blunder by succumbing to a rude child's demand to gain a little love from a child who in reality does not respect or look up to him as a dad. And after what he did today , he has fallen even lower in many eyes.

The precap shows he regrets what happened ... too little too late...lets us hope Raman has honestly taken a step towards being a better father and a caring human being. He has a long road before his family will forget and forgive his asinine behaviour.

Very very nice post i am 100 percent agree with you. I agree with your point of view. Raman is nomarl human being and human being are doing many mistake in their life b/c they are humans not angles. But the main thing is humans realize their mistake and accept it that where he/she is wrong. Still i love raman so i believe he definitely regrets one day.

well written !
Raman's attitude hampering Adi's growth is the point that I hated today. Never had any expectations from Shagun. She is simply a bad mother !!
