Wonderful comparison. About Shagun, they never showed her feeling guilty for leaving Raman in the show. May be Ekta want to keep her as a dumb and negative character.

Even Ashok was never negative... But, if it is not so, don't think it'll work in a daily soap... Till now, YHM is infinite times better than custody.

Thanks for the summary.

I am also glad that YHM is not like the book. The book drags a lot and is a dull/dark read.

Good thing they skipped over the Shagun/Ashok affair and started after the custody.

Ishita's part was a little more sad because she got rejected after being married for almost two years which I am sure happens in real life. They brought that about with Subu, Mrs bala and Prateek in YHM and that was good enough

Ya...It was difficult... There was more of Shashok than Ishra... Ishitha there wasn't too pleasant. She was very insecure...

Thanks for this post. I too have read the novel. Though it touches my heart to see the reality of broken marriages in the novel, I'm very glad its not incorporated in the show. It would have been very depressing. Good for a movie but not a TV show.

Ya...Had it been a movie also, it will only be in awards category not commercial category... Good that the atmosphere is so good in the show...
