"Time to wake up, Princess." Ishita tries to wake Ruhi up
"No, not yet mumma!" Ruhi says half-sleeping. She turns to her dad in the bed so her back is towards Ishita, "Dad please tell mumma to not send me to school today."
Raman opens his eyes and pulls Ruhi on top of him, playfully asking her "You don't want to go to school today?". Ruhi shakes her head. Raman and Ruhi both look at Ishita with a puppy-face, but Ishita just shakes her head "Raman, don't spoil our princess. It's already Friday today, so tomorrow is a holiday. If she doesn't go in today, her attendance will not be 100%". Ruhi falls back to sleep while lying on Raman's stomach. Raman caresses her head, "It doesn't matter if her attendance will be 99.9% Ishita". Ishita retorts back "No no no, this will not be acceptable. Our baby has to have full attendance. 100% attendance means 100%".
She gets up and walks to the other side of bed and tries to pick Ruhi up but Raman catches her hand and pulls her closer to his face "Please na Ishita, let her take a leave today". "But what will she do all day? I will be at the clinic, you will be in the office, she will get bored at home" replies Ishita.
"Why don't we all go out today, its Friday and we have the weekend as well, it will be fun for 3 days" Raman replies while pulling Ishita even closer. Ruhi slides off Raman's stomach to the side and Raman pulls Ishita very close to him and smirks at her being shy even after a year of their marriage. "Mr. Bhalla you may be able to take days off but I have a clinic to run, and please go brush your teeth". Ishita shakes off her hand from his and straightens herself. "Already sorted, Mrs. Bhalla. I called your clinic yesterday and told them about your leave till Monday. They already have someone covering for you, so don't worry." Ishita exasperates "Hawww, it means it was already planned!!" She looks at Ruhi who was peaking with one eye and gets caught winking at Raman. "You naughty girl!! Papa is spoiling you very much, isnt he" she playfully tickles Ruhi and falls on the bed next to Raman. "Thank you papa, I love you" Ruhi quickly frees herself from Ishita, blows a kissie to papa and runs to the bathroom." Raman not leaving this chance pulls Ishita into a hug and persuades her to go away on a three-day family trip.
At the breakfast table:
Ruhi sits in Raman's lap while Ishita serves them food. Mrs.Bhalla and Mr.Bhalla gets really happy still seeing them every morning eat breakfast together. Ishita sits down with everyone and feeds Ruhi yoghurt, fruit and cereal. Mrs. Bhalla asks Ruhi to take aloo ka parantha.
Ruhi: dadi, thank you but I like fruit and yoghurt in the morning now.
Mr. Bhalla: very good ruhi beta, fruit is very healthy for you.
Ishita nods and passes a look at Raman who is eating aloo ka parantha.
Mrs.Bhalla: but Ishita beta atleast you try the parantha, Raman come on feed her some of this parantha. Beta this is special paneer da parantha, you will love it.
Raman: mumma let it be na, if she doesn't like it then rehn do
Mrs. Bhalla: oh you be quiet! Just feed her some.
Ruhi: ya mumma, try some, I love aloo ka parantha also.
Raman feeds Ishita some parantha with dahi.
Ishita: very nice mummy
Mrs. Bhalla: see, I told you, eat some paranthas, put on some weight, you look like a stick
Mr. bhalla: oh toshiji, stop it, savere savere you have started. Beta you have whatever you want to have
Raman smiles at his dad and then Ishita who continues to have half a parantha and fruit and yoghurt.
Raman: dad we are going out in a bit and will be back by Sunday. I thought of taking Ishita and Ruhi out as it's been a while since we have all gone out together.
Mr. Bhalla: sure beta, have fun, and keep us updated on where you are otherwise you know your mu, she will be tensed.
Ishita: don't worry papa, we will keep you updated. Raman, I am just going to go visit amma-appa and let them know I am going out for 3 days. I have to see off muthu as well. Ruhi you want to come baby?
Ruhi: oh yeahh, muttuu se milne challenge.
Ishita: lets go then.
Ishita and Ruhi quickly go and meet amma-appa while everyone else finishes off their breakfast.
Raman driving the car, Ishita sat in the passenger seat and Ruhi sleeping in the back seat is one sight of a happy family. Raman looks at Ishita and holds her hand while driving with one hand. Ishita is surprised and tells him off "Raman please focus on driving, you mustn't do other things while driving" and shakes her hand off his. "Oh come on ishita, are you suggesting I can do whatever I want once this car stops?" raman smirks at her. "yes, do whatever you want when the car is stationary, but please for now focus". Raman stops the car on the side and turns to face Ishita. He holds her hands and brings them to his lips and kiss them. "What was this for?" asks Ishita. "This is just a thank you for agreeing to come with us." "But you had spoken to my clinic and sorted out my holidays, so how would I say no?". "No, not just this. For coming into mine and Ruhi's life. When I look back, I realise how lonely we both were. You have truly completed our lives Ishita. If there is a god out there, I thank him for blessing me with you". Ishita gets teary eyed and hugs Raman. "Thank you...for letting me be a part of yours and Ruhi's life. I know we didn't get the greatest start but I truly believe that with Ruhi's love we will always be happy together." She returns to her seat and wipes her tears. Raman looks at her smilingly and tucks her hair behind her ear. She blushes. Raman then resumes driving as he looks forward to sharing their first-anniversary together and thinks about how their life is going in such a positive direction.

My first attempt at OS with Ishita and Raman. I havent written after IPKKND finished and thus it's been long. Hopefully you'll like it :-)
