Ya -the lungi & angavastram-seriously even in another serial to show that it is south india-EVEN WAITERS WERE SEEN IN MUNDU ---what rubbish-Nowhere in the world waiters wear anything but waiter dress-PLZZZ cv stop this over the top depiction of South Indians who are incidentally-Tamils,Telugus,Kannadigas,Tulus,Malayalees & not anyone in lungi!!!!!

The usage of 'aiyoo' makes me cringe ... it's usually a banned word in many orthodox Tamil households ... only used to convey extreme misfortune or disaster ... and never when something 'shub' is taking place ...

exactly the way she speaks tamil is disgusting......

and one more point ishita's mom calls her sister as chinna tangai(younger sister) and ishita called her periya amma (means badi ma)...ishita should call her chitti right😕

Madisaar . Typically a 9 yards saree tied in a very different way than the regular 6 yards one. For weddings the bride changes into this just before the mangalsutra is tied.

Panchagajam - A white dhoti (silk) tied in a style that most priests sport.

@ Red...I guess they decided to mix some mallu culture too 😆😆😆😆

Its hilarious seeing Ishita's mom's tamil, some of the terminology etc... Whoever cried that they don't use Tamil words??? They may as well all speak in hindi (minus the terrible so called south indian accent)

Married women can only wear Madisaar..Madisaar is given to the bride just before mangalsutra wearing ceremony..and Panchagajam is also the same..It will be given to the groom on the marriage day..

well, this is my 1st post here, i like it so far, i started noticing this show after came to know they is a Tamil family, u guys are true, but it happens on national telly, we can't help it and happy for they are using our mother tongue here, we all know so many ppl are using dubbing voices nowadays, but at least the lady try to do something presentable, am happy...

yea agreed.., ishitas moms Tamil pisses me off... All i can think of at that moment is "Please don't rujn Tamil..." and don't kill the accent atleast...,
