True, Krishna and Yashoda’s relationship is not about step-Son and mother’s relationship. It’s about love only. And frankly speaking Yashoda’s love is as pure as a mother’s love can be and it’s not different from Devaki’s love. This story was never about Yashoda-Krishna, it was always about Krishna. It’s us who has glorified this bond and in this glorification we somehow managed to belittle Devaki’s love.

There are many perspectives through which we see their bond, some see it as Yashoda’s pure devotion to Shri Krishna, some see it as an exemplary bond between a step mother and step son.

I see their bond just like every mother and son’s bonding out there. May be it is divine but if I would try to see it in that divinity or that light this aspect would end the purity of this bond for me. But the sacrifice she made in his upbringing is truly divine, like loosing her daughter and then loosing her son, living in pain and all those things does make her more special than others.

That’s my view on their bond😅
