The key difference here is that Abha always puts family or the 'right thing to do' first. Albeli is shown as self-centered. Even when she is exposing Priyanka, it is not because she wants to do the right thing, but because Priyanka hurt whom she loves - Karan. She came to the SB for Bittoo, but her sense of righteousness did not awaken when he was treated by Karan - instead she became obsessed with Karan and began asking God for signs on what she should do - one option being that she stayed in SB. Clearly, Abha's so called death has made her believe that staying in SB is the right thing to do.
Ranchhod on the other hand had an edge like Albeli - but he never got self-centered. He came to SB for money, agreed. But he always put Abha first - even when he had a legal and social right on her (He was 'married' to her) while Albeli is doing the exact opposite - she is choosing to pose as Abha to get Karan's love. That is not love, in the first place.
Albeli has the 'edge' because she is selfish. She does not really have a sense of right or wrong. Unlike Abha who is a believer, she is a sceptic that is all. She sees every one with suspicion - but again it is for her selfishness. She decided to expose Priyanka only when Bittoo was recovered not before. Only because she hurt the man she loved not otherwise.
