Why they always show women as either dumb/wicked?

We all agree that Karan is a well written character. Didn't we love him today for sacrificing his love for a mother (that too one like CP😡)?

But look at the female casts. They are either
wicked (like mami, shelly, kanika) or
inconsistent (like CP) or
dumb and helpless (like our princess and Lata)
We have had enough of Aabha. But, the height was Sania today. Did she really have to leave the envelope on the table after taking so much of pain to bring it there? Didn't Karan scold her for passing the mangalsutra to Mami instead of Aabha - she should have atleast thought about that. After bringing such a beautiful character as Sania into the picture, they should not have made her look like another tamasha.
Why do the CVs think that only serial vamps can be intelligent? 😡😡😡 Can't good women be intelligent also? After all we are not that bad. We can also stand for our values and views, take intelligent decisions, plan and follow through. Don't you agree Kavita Bartajya?

agreed that the vamps are not portrayed as intelligent women. But, only they consider all aspects of a situation (of course from their stand point), before acting on it. But, the so called good ones always land up in trouble because they don't think much

yeah...I was wondering why sania didn't give to sanskar in person...that way, when he sees the picture, she could tell him that abha and karan are married...why would she leave it on the table?...why not go up to him and talk to him?...
as for the intelligence...well I think they show that the "good" think from their heart and out of love...they are selfless...and the "vamps" are selfish and always thinking up schemes and plans, hence they cover all aspects of a situation...

sinman, great post!
I agree with you that our script/story writers are not doing justice with our female characters. In my opinion there are some basic reasons behind it e.g. majority of writers are male, its easy for them to use a female character to bring new twist to story, in order to move their story forward they can't find better way to find solutions to their problems. I mean to say, female characters are their easy prey.
I remember Abha tried her best to stop the auction of SB when she almost got it declared nation's heritage building.
I think kavita should have done better job than this, if she is really doing her job.😉

I agree. women are shown weak and wicked. not witty and intelligent. it is really annoying.... it provokes the negativity of a woman and not the positivity.

The Bharjatyas are behind the times. There is something to be said about traditions, but making women out to be only idiots is not one of them.
