Thakur Uday Pratap Played by Alok Nath

Thakur Uday Prataap, the owner of Swarn Bhavan is a man of pride. He is very stubborn and strict but at the same time he is a family man and can do anything for his family traditions. He cannot adjust with the new generation and doesn't accept the truth of changing times. He lives in falsehood and false pride.

Chandra Prabha Played by Smita Jaykar

Chandra Prabha, wife of Thakur Uday Pratap is very calm and silent lady. She has immense faith in God. She wants to give good education to her children so that they can face the world and the changing times with courage. She is the support system for the children and a silent participant in their happiness.

Swarn Lata Played by Namrata Thapa

Swarn Lata is the married daughter of Thakur. She is a very traditional woman with not much education and regrets that she couldn't get the opportunity for higher education. She supports and encourages her siblings Prakash and Abha. She is married to Samarjeet but gets separated later.

Swarn Prakash Played by Tarun Mehta

Swarn Prakash is a humorous character and enjoys his richness. He believes that with money he has achieved everything in life. He is not a graduate and very irresponsible even at the age of 28. He loves to imitate his father and pass time with his friends though he doesn't believe in friendship. Later, he struggles in life to cope up with the changing times.

Swarn Abha Played by Suhasi Dhami (Female Protagonist)

Swarn Abha is the main protagonist of the show. She is young, bright and a sagacious girl withholding on to her traditional and contemporary values. She is pampered and loves her family. Abha is a very intelligent and wants to become a lawyer. But when she understands her father's emotions and traditional value system, she decides to give up on her ambition like an ideal daughter. As days progress, her mother pushes her towards being responsible and initiates her towards household chores.

Samarjeet (Swarn Lata's husband)

Swarn Lata's husband & only Son-in-law of Thakurs till yet. By nature he is very selfish & greedy. He never supported his wife & always demanded financial support from Thakurs. Later in show...he will get saparated to his wife. Being manipulated, he always shows his fake concern to others but in reality he never cared for them.

Brij (Thakur's Servant)

Thakur's loyal servant...He respected Thakur family & feels his own family. He serves them unconditionally. He too left Sawrn Bhavam alongwith Thakurs & living with them. Sometimes he provides humor by his comic acts & dialogues. In short a good human being.

Raghav (Chandra Prabha's Brother)

Raghav is very polite, caring & loving brother of Chandra Prabha...He had conflict with Thakur coz of his poverty condition. Later during auction of Swarn Mahal, Raghav helped Thakur family by giving shelter them at his won house. He is very responsible & dedicating. He even ready to be in debt just for treatment of Thakur. Raghav & his wife always argued on Thakur's matter. In short, a good hearted brother & uncle who serves his relatives unconditionally.

Sheetal (Raghav's wife)

Selfish woman just opposite to her husband.

~~* About The Show *~~

Yahan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli is the story of the Thakur family. The family owns a palatial house in Ujjain and the head of the family Thakur Uday Pratap Singh (played by veteran actor Alok Nath), is a proud man who believes in living a rich lifestyle. He would under any circumstances not compromise on his pride and principles.

His daughter Swarn Abha (protagonist of the serial played by Suhasi Dhami) has been brought up in a very comfortable environment and is closely attached to her family, especially her father. Swarn Abha is also deeply in love with her father and nurtures her dad's pride.

Unfortunately, the family faces the unforeseen and is expected to live life of adjustments and struggle. What stays to be watched is whether Swarn Abha would be able to cope up with the circumstances, keeping her Dad's pride intact.
