Piyush voted out by Sonu Nigam

Singer and contestant of Sony TV's talent hunt show X Factor, Piyush Kapoor has been voted out of the show last night.

And what's most surprising is that Piyush, who hails from Lucknow, was voted out by his own mentor on the show, Sonu Nigam. This has happened for the first time on any show that a contestant was voted out by his own mentor.

Piyush, along with other contestants was to sing songs in a tight competition which apparently Sonu did not like and based on that Sonu voted Piyush out.

Not agreeing with Sonu's decision Sanjay Leela Bhansali protested and argued with Sonu that Sonu had just based his decision on Piyush's performance yesterday and not taken into consideration his track record which so far had been impeccable. But Sonu stood his ground and voted out Piyush who had to make an exit from the show.

Nooo this cant be trueee 😭 and woow Sonu himself voted him out, thats new! 😲 Piyush gave such awesome performances last week man, he was the best!

Just can't understand why Sonu does these things.

Please do not write the result directly in the heading...many people would not like to know the result...pl change it...you can say elimination without the name

Piyush's ouster was based on his performance in the face off round no matter what track record he had in the past. So if in the face off whichever singer performs better should be in. So I guess Sonu must have taken the decision after alot of thinking.

This is most unfair and to think that the likes of kartar uncle and so many worse singers and performers than him are still around!!! am very unhappy with the decision!!

They kept sahiti only because of her track record, why double standards then??

They didnt keep Sahiti only for her track record. While choosing her the judges gave the justification. SLB said- "Sahiti's singing connected well to me" and Shreya's reasoning was " People think forgetting lyrics is a sin, its not it can happen wid anyone. Sahiti's singing was much better then Shovon."

The Exit had been planned earlier so that is why Piyush was the Best Performer last week.

Piyush's vote-out ws indeed a shock for evry prsn thr.. n main ws Sonuji voting out...Bt smewhr.. he gv a lesson of NOT to be Baised for their own team..Nw defiantly the competition level is damn tough... & we still dnt undrstnd Y is Karatar uncle still thr???????😡

It ws vryyy emotional moment to c Piyush go out...bcme very emotional.. 😭😭he is a very gdd singer...bt smewhr i guess he took the competition bit easy i suppose...dnt knw!!! 😕

When Amit and piyush are in the bottom 2 how can kartar uncle be voted out?😆😆😆

The whole show is following a pattern of chucking one contestant from each team by turn.

They had to retain Amit, was there a choice?

Shreya's team had only one strong contestant in Manjeera.

Next was amit, then geet and the weakest is kartar uncle😊

Amit is a sure shot to the finals.😆Unless of course, Geets stars are riding high😃

There was no way sonu was going to sacrifice seema or sahiti😆 Logically , it had to be piyush. Or Pritam must have offered piyush a song and he asked for his immediate presence😃 and release from the show.

The toughest job is going to be getting one out from SLBs team and sonu's team. They have strong contenders.

I feel it will be seema, amit and nirmitee in the finals😃

I wonder who was other contestant, why Kartar Singh is still in😡

On lighter note, now some people will say that Souu voted out since he was scared of him as competitor like when Shreya gave not so good comment to Seema😛
