Had originally been posted on IF.in. I'm starting from the start for the people whom have not read my story and have added some changes for the interest of the reader.
Episode 41
Priya is standing in front of Anurag locker with him. He's taking out books from his locker.
Anurag: how could you do that? What were you thinking?
Priya: I panicked, I didn't know what to say, (laughing) it came out.
Anurag: stop laughing it not funny. Manisha is going to think I'm cheating on her (screaming more loudly) with my boss.
Priya: (laughing) don't worry she doesn't know it your boss. The funny thing is she's 50 and she's still acts as if she was in high school. (Acting like his boss) baby you're late. (Anurag closes his locker and turns to look at Priya. Still acting like his boss) and look at your hair (touching his hair) it all messed up.
Anurag grabs her hand. Priya gets butterflies in her stomach.
Anurag: Stop (he lets go after feeling the spark himself)
Priya: (feeling sad) don't worry she'll find out the truth after this.
Anurag: what class do we have?
The bell rings
Priya: Mr. Singh
Anurag: oh
Both: (scared together) shit!
Anurag grabs Priyas' hand and run down the hall to Mr. Singh's room. Anurag opens the door.
Mr. Singh: You're late (Anurag tries to say something. But cuts him off) I don't want to hear it. I told you that next time you're late; you'll have to stay after school. Room 391.
Priya: but sir-
Mr. Singh: (cutting her off) take your seat.
Anurag and Priya walk to their seat.
Priya: now what.
Anurag: I don't know. We'll just go with the plan.
Later on after school. Priya goes to Manisha.
Priya: Manisha, me and Anurag got detention, so you just get there at the time I told you. He's going to meet her there at 6.
Manisha: Mitesh, Pritem & Arjun are coming too.
Priya: (happy) Great! Look I have to go or else I'll be late for detention.
Priya runs down the hall to room 391. Anurag stands out side.
Anurag: we got lucky. It's Mr. Dixit, not Singh.
Priya: and the different is.
Anurag: he's a moron. He's really easy to get by.
Anurag and Priya walk in and go the back and sits.
Anurag: look I got an idea just go with it.
Mr. Dixit sits in the front.
Anurag turns to face Priya trying to hide the phone. Anurag dials the school.
Priya: (scared) what are you doing?
Anurag: (mad) shut up! (On the phone) yes can I speak to Mr. Dixit? It's important⌠yes.
Mr. Dixit gets up to pick up the phone. Mr. Dixit cuts the phone.
Mr. Dixit: (to the students) I have an important phone call in the office. I want everyone to stay in their seat.
Mr. Dixit leaves. Anurag cuts the phone and gets up.
Anurag: Come
Priya: what? But Mr. Dixit?
Anurag: Get up we're going.
Anurag walks up to the table. Priya follows behind him.
Anurag: (looking into a sign out book and then counts the students) shit! Quickly give me some names. First and last.
Priya: what?
Anurag: so I could write them in the book- never mind I got one.
Anurag begins to write a couple of names.
Anurag: ok you write your name.
Priya still confused on what Anurag was doing takes the pen and signs her hand.
Anurag: Great lets go.
Anurag and Priya leave the class. In the hall.
Priya: what were you doing?
Anurag: It's simple; you have to sign the book when you leave. There were more lines in the book then the kids in the class and we needed to write our names in the back of that page, so Mr. Dixit doesn't know we left. So I wrote a couple of names and when Mr. Verma looks into the book he'll think we were the second to last person to leave the room.
Priya: oh so there is a brain in there.
Anurag: ha ha funny! Let's go before anyone sees us.
Anurag and Priya continue to walk and then turn a corner. Anurag sees Mr. Singh and grabs Priya's hand, pulling her back.
Priya: what happen?
Anurag: Mr. Singh
Priya look out from the corner to see Mr. Singh
Priya: Ab Kya? Another exit.
Anurag: but all the exits are on that side. He'll see us weather we go left or right. Let me think
Priya: (peeking) think of something quick because he's coming this way.
Anurag panics and pulls her into a dark janitor's closet.
Anurag we'll be safe here.
Priya: (scared) Anu- Anu I feel some soft next to my leg.
Anurag: it might be a mop.
Priya: (about to scream) then why is it moving? (Pushes herself against the wall) mouse.
Anurag pushes his body against hers and covers her mouth. Priya and Anurag get the same butterfly feeling again. She lowers his hand. Anurag moves closer to kiss her but then quickly move apart when the doors open.
Mr. Verma: what are you doing here?
Anurag: oh great it's you. (Coming out) Mr. Verma, its mine and Manisha anniversary and Mr. Singh gave us detention and I was supposed to put on a show for her in a few minutes. So we ditched detention and now we hiding here, so Mr. Singh doesn't see us.
Mr. Verma: Na don't worry, he left and for detention, I'll tell him you were doing something for me. I know how mean Mr. Singh gets. Anyways, Happy Anniversary.
Both: Thanks so much.
Mr. Verma: it's ok Now go.
Anurag grabs Priya hand and their both run downstairs to the bikes.
Priya: no I'm not getting on that thing.
Anurag: (on the bike) come on (pulling her)
Priya: Nooooooo
Priya gets on the bike and they drive to the restaurant. Priya holds on to Anurag tightly afraid of falling off. They both get off the bike and go through the back entrance.
Boss: you're just in time, your next.
Anurag: I can't do this?
Priya: (giving him a guitar) you'll do fine. (Pushing him)
Anurag stands by to go on stage. Priya goes to see if Manisha came. Priya see them and goes towards them and sits down.
Priya: great you guys are here.
Manisha: where is Anurag?
Priya: you'll see him in just a bit.
The singer on stage stops singing and get off stage. The announcer comes on.
Announcer: another round of applause for Mr. Khan. I have some good news and bad news. Let's start with the good news. It's the anniversary of one of our most favorite singer and he's going to perform a grand performance for his girlfriend. (Lights flash on Manisha. Manisha and everyone is confused) unfortunately, he will be leaving tonight and that my friends is the bad news. So lets put are hands together for Anurag Kapok last performance.
Mitesh, Manisha, Arjun, and Pritem are shocked.
Manisha: what's going on?
Priya: you'll see
Anurag goes on the stage with a guitar and is completely scared. Anurag begins to sing. Everyone is shocked. Manisha is very happy; she smiling and laughing with Priya. Pritem see her having fun and feels happy and heartbroken.
Pritem: (thinking) oh god what was I thinking? Anurag and Manisha love each other so much and I-
After a few minutes.
Anurag stops singing and makes a speech.
Anurag: thank you ladies and gentlemen. Manisha I know I haven't told you this but here it is in front of everyone (A guy stands in front of Manisha blocking both Manisha and Anurag's view of each other) that - (turning side to side trying to look passed the guy) that -
Manisha: (turning side to side, also) that! What?
Anurag: (turning side to side) that- that-
While Anurag tries to look past the guy to Manisha, he sees Priya laughing at Manisha and begins to see nothing but her.
Manisha: (yelling) Aya Mota Hut!
The guy hears her and moves.
Anurag: (looking at Priya) I love you! (Manisha gets shocked and stands up. Anurag continues to look at Priya) I love you.
Manisha gets happy and runs up to the stage.
Manisha: say it again
Anurag: (looking at Manisha, confused) I love you.
Manisha gets happy and hugs Anurag. Anurag begins to feel bad as he looks at Priya, teary eyes. Priya looks up and the quickly looks away and wipes always the tears. Then returns a smile at Anurag. As Pritem sees Manisha hugging Anurag, he decides to leave. As she hugs Anurag, Pritem pops up in her minds.
Manisha: (thinking) Pritem
She quickly turns around to see Pritem. She finds Pritem at the door. Pritem looks up at Manisha and shakes his head as he leaves trying to tell himself to forget her. Manisha feel as her heart has been broken into a thousand pieces. Everyone in the restaurant except Priya begin to clap as Manisha and Anurag come down off the stage.
