Awww thank you mumzzuuuu 🤗❤️

This is why I buy all AC in second hand editions. This was the book which looked most worn out from outside but has just a little loose spine and rest of the text is impeccable.

I'll be posting the new book haul soon too! Will post a link here...four ACs in that order too. 😳😃

Soooo I finished 'Mystery of The Blue Train' yesterday night...err today morning because I wasn't going to read this at all but then crazy karne ka mann kar gaya lmao.

So I read approximately 110 pages in 1.5 hours up until 3:30am and finished it off!

Complete snooze fest, this book. It pains me to rate a Christie book this bad but holy lord I had to force my eyes open at times, not even exaggerating. 🤡

I've read some popular AC books that were Meh for me - Peril at The End House, ABC Murders, Death in The Clouds and Peril at The End House, all of them were kinda okayish to readable for me because of some reason but Blue train really bored the heck out of me. Out of all the above bores this was the most bore. 💔

PS : I'm almost through 'The Spanish Love Deception', like last two chapters and then done. Next book I have is 'Lord Edgware Dies' and I am hoping it is something reallllyyyyy greatttt. 😳

I’m reading Ali Hazelwood’s ‘The Love Hypothesis’ and I’ve squeeed like 2.5 times already and I’m just about one third into the book. I have a feeling I’m gonna love this one and a review is definitely coming!

I’m loving it so far. Science geeks? Give it to me! Btw, I’d read ‘Lord Edgware Dies’ ages ago so my memory maybe fuzzy but I recall being blown away by it. Please consider this my disclaimer if you don’t like it. I’m indemnifying myself against all forms of projectiles- andas, Tamatars, chappals included 🤡

I can't 🤣🤣🤣

Aree it's okay mummaaa 😆

Some books are a snooze fest by AC for me, mtlb but chalo koi nahi apni apni pasand hai. Blue train is hyped overall, people love ABC murders also...which was very sus for me. 🤪

Sometimes it’s more of the pressure being a fan and then it’s like you see other fans who rave about this book and you’re the only one that doesn’t like it and you reluctantly go .. yeah it’s good (internally it’s like give me my 5 hours back!) 😆 ABC murders, Big Four and some other well-loved Poirots have fallen flat for me. And it’s always the timing of the read- I truly believe that. If your mind is not fully receptive to take in a book at the time you’re reading it, you’ll end up not enjoying the experience.

One thing I’ve learned being on IF- I’m usually on the unpopular side of everything! 😆

OMG SAME.

The wayyy I absolutely hate some popular books, with such passion. 😆

But with AC I always know why I hate it, like I know what is going wrong with the flow. The two main standards I've set are Mysterious Affairs at Styles and Roger Ackroyd...those two are my absolute drugs. I inhaled those books, because it was so difficult to focus on mortal tasks until I was done yk?

With ABC I remember there was illusion of serial killings but the incidents felt contradictory. By the second one I was sure of 'No serial Killer' trope. With Death in The clouds my complain is simple - there was very less Poirot, ergo less wit and banter. 😆

Peril At The End House was fine...not great not bad asf just a little blah, again lesser Poirot throughout.

Tho I always know what isn't working...Blue train had a lot of unnecessary stuff in between which was mostly irrelevant to the story and even though there was some surprise element in it at the end mostly getting till the end was a task.

What's happening? Why this much build up? In an AC book?

Literally snail-ing my way here.

No Khoon Kharaba no nothing...no Poirot even. Why this turning out to be a dud?

Kaunsa wala?
