@Ramya I had mentioned in one of my comments my idea of the story stemmed from a news paper report where a widow was burned calling her a witch or something in Rajasthan. And leave 90's haven't you heard about Vrindavan widows, women thrown out of homes from Rajasthan, Bihar , UP etc and living a despicable lives in Vrindavan. It came just couple of years ago

And yes pain is part of the story as for change to happen pain has to be there. But then it is a fight for the change. You know me. I have no interest in making my leading lady the epitome of sanskaar as daily soaps depicts her.

Her head is not shaved. Her MIL told not to shave her head. White saree yes widows wore only white or offwhite sarees only as far as I know their customs of those days.

Suman's plight is heart wrenching but it could have been worse. It will be a mammoth task for

Sreedhar to bring her out of this with everyone's blessings. His intentions are so pure that even if the journey is tough he will find help on time to succeed.

@Geena her pain is more acute because she sees Sreedhar, but she cannot express herself to him. Same is his case. He sees her pain, but cannot support the way he would have wanted.

Shruthi this is a song from sairat 😆 it essentially shows that the girl has fallen for the guy.

its with subtitles. u'll like the sequence from 3:18. the guy is waiting for the girl to come in classroom and then the fun starts 😆 u watch then i'll tell what they have cut in the song 😆 (last portion when the hero goes out)

Shruthi ,coincidently I was also thinking about the popular Devdas kind of portrayal...I consider Devdas the most ineffective lover as well as a man.The tragedy is that he never really gets the essence of life or love.As you said He could have married chandramukhi .We need more people like Sridhar and his friends to bring about the much needed changes in the society .Savita
