She is with me..!

"You.Are.An.Idiot", she seethed with each word and to her great annoyance he grinned.

"Man! Where am I stuck", she whined.

"With a handsome, charming n undeniably a sweetheart, i.e. me", he winked & chimed, deliberately riling her.

"Dream on dude", she glared. "Spit it out! Will u, what was the hurry for this "urgent meeting", she air quoted the last part.

She frowned as his grin faded instantly. She tried hard not to panick and asked quietly, "what's the matter?"

Sighing heavily he leaned over the table and rested his chin on his palm in a thoughtful gesture.Fiddling with the straw he said, "I was thinking about your suggestion."

"And? "She drawled trying hard not to start the happy dance right then & there.

Inhaling deeply he flicked a look at her and he could have swore she was trying hard to not smile. "You like doing this to me, don't you?" He narrowed his eyes at her.

She grinned and he saw the twinkle returning back in her mystic eyes. He wondered what sort of brown was her eyes or were they black, damn it's been years & he still couldn't decide.

Seeing he was lost again, she groaned and kicked him hard under the table.

"Ouch," he shouted and glared her hard.

"Ta-da! Welcome back to earth", she teased and he chose to avoid but couldn't help smiling.

"Spill the beans dude"; she urged almost impatiently, her eyebrows dancing up & down in anticipation.

He chuckled at her expressions and then, "you were right, I think ...it's high time I start assisting dad. You win." He threw up his hands in surrender.

"Yippieee!!!!"She squealed. "Gawwd Aman, thank u so much. You know your father will be so happy."

He noticed she was trying hard not jump up & down, usually a childish gesture she does whenever she is too happy. Ohh, how he loved her innocent acts, her pure way to show her delight.

She saw him still lost in some thought but refrained from teasing, for strangely what she saw in his eyes was...

"Aman, don't be nervous," she soothed holding his hands.

"I am scared, nishy, what if I mess it up."

"You wont."

"How do you know?"

"Coz I trust you", she smiled and he couldn't help but had to return her smile no matter what. God help him, he loved her so much.

"And so does your dad, Aman." Shutting his eyes he rested his forehead on their clasped hands.

"I hope I never break his trust, that's the one thing m fearin", he confessed.

"You won't, Aman. Remember one thing, whenever you think u r in trouble; never hesitate to ask his guidance. Trust me; he will be the happiest man in the world to share his experiences with his son, his pride."

He needed the courage and she shot a prayer silently asking God to give her enough wisdom so that she can help her dear friend.

"Remember one more thing, you aren't alone." He looked up gazing deeply in her mystic eyes, "for, I am with you too." Her smile had the warmth which was enough to uplift his spirits.

Not trusting his emotion choked voice, he only clasped her hand even more tightly thanking God silently for her friendship. He smiled & knew, he could fight n win any battle because, "She... is with Me!" he whispered.
