"Actually, I don't have anything planned."
"Huh? but.."
"What?"
"How can you not have anything planned?"
"I figured we should do whatever we feel like doing at the moment!"
"Ok.."
"So what do you feel like doing?"
"I don't know.."
"Oh, come on! You have to want to do something."
"Hmm, ok, fine, let's just go bowling!"
"Bowling?"
"Yes. Don't you like it?"
"Ok, anything else?"
"Can we go to the beach afterwards? I love the beach at night."
"As you wish, your highness."
They had a lot of fun bowling; Meera noticed that Jai didn't really like bowling, but he went with her anyways. They talked about each other; asked about hobbies, likes and dislikes. After dinner, Meera said, "we don't have to go to the beach, let's do something you want now."
"But I want to go to the beach."
"Really? and why is that?"
"Because I love the beach at night," said Jai with a huge grin on his face.
"Ok, I guess tonight is my night. Let's go."
At the beach, Meera just decided to sit and watch the water. "It's always so peaceful here. I love it. Though I do hate it when there are lots and lots of people around." Jai just watched her as she talked, noticing how happy she seemed. Meera turned around as he was watching her and then said, "I do happen to talk a lot so I am sorry if I irritate you."
"No, I like to see you smiling and talking."
"How cute," said Meera with a smile on her face, "thanks, Jai. I had fun tonight."
"Me too. Now, let's go walk back to the car because you have homework, right?"
"Thanks for ruining the fun with the H word!"
Jai laughed and got up and stretched his hand to help her get up.
It was quiet as they walked back to the car; Jai slowly decided to take her hand as she was walking right next to him. Her heart started beating faster, but when she looked up he was looking ahead and she said to herself, "this is the best first date ever!"
