I don't think so. One Anu & Virat remember were never in an official relationship. They just got closer during lockdown and he felt proposing her. They got officially engaged only in August with no proper relationship right. However, Akriti claimed that he double-timed two months before they got engaged. When Anu confronted him, and Raj sir too, the gut was quite upset and silently moved out.

We know that we have only Anu's pov, and she somehow never let him explain his side of the story, she always listened to others, and every time she blamed him as a culprit, and only him...I know he was not the best man but he felt genuine at that time she never tried to believe him, her insecurities and fear took over. So that's why just like with the tub khand, he is innocent here
