True that.
But then Simmi was a minor.
Preet is a major now. So Amba can't force her to do things she doesn't want.
But then again, it would never have been easy for anyone to force Preet to do things that don't convince her.

In that scenario, Simmi was helpless and humiliated. She brought humiliation to her whole family by getting pregnant out of wedlock. So Amba could use Simi's guilt to her advantage and to an extent, exercise control on her.

Maybe Preet should have a word with the Sarpanch and make him revoke the judgment again - that Preet cannot live at the PH and she cannot have any contact with her mother - for the next couple of years 😆

Couple of years because Raj can be good only for so long. They will have another MU and then Preet will require her mother's shoulder again to cry on.
