That's a way of seeing it too. Maybe you are right.
Indian audience are ok with their MLs having pre marital sex? Not sure about that.
It's just well, every time Sakshi speaks to Raj, she confidently and comfortably gets physical with him. You know, without feeling shy or hesitant.
The way she feels that Raj owes her something makes me feel differently.
Sakshi has had a physical relationship whereas Preet has never. This makes her feel that she has more right over him than Preet.
And seriously, considering the person Sakshi is, do you really think, she wouldn't have coaxed him into having sex with her in Delhi? This is next to impossible!
As I pointed out earlier, Raman had premarital sex, why wouldn't Raj, considering how much he hero worships Raman.
All speculations, no doubt 😆

Or maybe, Sakshi was being too persuasive and manipulative, hence he chose to run away from her when still had the opportunity 😆

The relationship was not as platonic as you guys think. If it were, would Raj tell SD that he loves her every single day? Maybe he used to say it to get into her pants. The fact that he fell for Preet while already engaged says something about him.
IMO, it went like this:
SD and Raj became friends at the age of ten
When they became teens, they started having sex
Then they decided to get married, and it was most likely SD's idea.

Remember Amrit's 'baat shaadi tak p...' (soz, I can't write that word, bit I guess it means 'reached'?)
Maybe she knew all about this physical relationship and asked Raj to marry SD.
However, I maintain the proposal came from SD and not Raj.

SD probably said things like 'I'm your closest friend' 'I love you' 'I helped you walk' to convince Raj to marry her. Since he didn't love anyone else and was already sleeping with SD, he probably gave in. Then he started saying 'I love you', not because he actually loved her but because he wanted to make her happy as a friend.

Last but not least, they lived in Delhi. I mean, come on, when people like RaSim had pre-marital sex in a village setting, why wouldn't Rakshas do it in a city? Even if they weren't having sex before being engaged, I'm pretty sure they started after their engagement. Who wouldn't? How many engaged couples would you find, besides Muslims (even they do it these days), who don't have sex and just stare into each other's eyes instead? Very few.

It's possible Amrit already knew that Rakshas were having sex.

I find the way you call a spade a spade too funny for words!
Here I am trying to put across things as subtly as possible and then you come along and ... 🤣

Maybe that's true. I wouldn't know. Maybe I am trying to keep things platonic coz I am myself against pre marital sex.

I am extremely old school that way. So perhaps that is why...

Same here. I'm not religious but I'd never have pre-marital sex. That's just me.

That's something I have always wanted to hear! I am so glad I have company 🤗
But that does not mean we overlook things that we don't want to see...
There have been times, when I was younger, when I have put down books half way, because I couldn't accept people having pre- marital sex! Lol!
But now I am older and in a society where that's normal.
I have learnt to tolerate, although not accept.

We aren't the only ones. There are scores out there. That's why I said the the audience isn't prepared for the concept.
