I liked physics better than chemistry... I kind of scored okay till eleventh grade... I totally screwed up chemistry in twelfth grade... Our marksheets are issued combining the marks of eleventh and twelfth grades... My twelfth grade marks for chemistry was very low but I had managed to score an A+ in chemistry in eleventh so thankfully I scraped an A in chemistry combined with the internal marks as the final grade... The stupid subject was the reason I didn't get A+ for all the subjects... There was this pretty trophy my school was giving out for all A+ holders... I got a big trophy too but it wasn't as grand as the first one... Physics was way nicer to me... It even gave me an A+... Anyway after that I went and shocked all my teachers by opting for English literature than medicine or Engineering... So basically I have left science... Even my father was disappointed as he is a science teacher... He is a botany lecturer...

Umm, I don't really see the problem? Just tell him that you really don't care that he doesn't like you and that you'd like to be on civil terms. Just ignore him if his behaviour doesn't improve. As for others, people are going to think whatever they want to think no matter what you tell them.

A colleague I got along very well with had a crush on me. Our colleagues were whispering about us all the time, and even teasing him about it when I was within earshot. I actually heard them tell him to ask me out once when I was walking right past them. I made a mistake by accidentally flirting with him which made him freeze up. Then we both accidentally ignored each other the next day. After that, he confronted me and said that the rumours weren't true and that I was like his little sister. I knew he was lying but I let it go. After that, I still acted different around him and he left the day after confronting me. I still regret how I behaved. The point is, it's best to just be honest. I wasn't, and neither was he.

Yeah, the same thing happened to me also... I was afraid of hurting him so I couldn't exactly say no at first even though I didn't want anything like that with him... Besides he's very good looking, an athlete, a good singer and a good dancer. Many of my friends have crush on him... I was kind of flattered that he was asking me out... So I tried to let him down easy and basically encouraged him to flirt... If I was matter of fact in my communication with him then I wouldn't have had to put up with the embarrassing messages and smileys... When he started with the smileys I wondered whether something was wrong with his head... The problem is that he seem to honestly believe that he broke my heart... So all these extra nice gestures... We don't chat since that incident two days ago and after such an embarrassing ordeal I am not going to initiate chat...

Biology should matter more to a botanist than chemistry.

Wow! Megha English literature? That's terrific! I wanted to go for that but no one let me. I was basically forced to opt for commerce in my 11th grade and then Financial Markets in the first year of my college. After spending the whole year cursing the subject, in my second year u began to enjoy the subject and by the third year I loved the subject.

I didn't really like engineering...

You know guys, a thought just struck me... Suppose one of us dies... The others will never know about it... They will just wonder why that person is inactive for such a long time and will gradually forget... Some of us might already have or in future will cross each other's paths as complete strangers...
