The last trick :

Mohini had been waiting since 20 minutes but there was no sign of him or she should say her. She laughed at that.

She was just entering her room when she got the message - " meet me in the same temple in two hours - Manpreet Pawaniya"

Of course she'd come. She missed it once and it's impossible she will lose her chance to take a nipping when the victim is herself calling her - golden opportunity - these small acts keep her lively, boost her to go to any limits for getting what she wants.

She heard the jingling sound from her behind that seem to be the combined sound of bangles and anklets.

She turned to see her marching towards her gracefully.

For a moment she can't believe her eyes! Is this the same manu who used to walk around village with all masculinity and vigour. She often thought that manu was too cute to be man and also wanted to taunt him to wear bangles as that would suit him better but she never get a chance. As this Mannu always oversmart her idiot son who can't control his anger.

Anyway isn't manu had been a boy all her life then how come she is so gracefully beautiful. The girl standing infront of her isn't a bit of man. But then again you don't have to teach a girl to be a girl. The feminity need no lessons. Mohini felt a sharp tinge of jealousy watching this goddess of beauty but she decided to ignore it.

"I know you had come " Mohini got out of her trance. She knew. " Now you must be wondering why I call you here"

"You know that's the best thing about you- you always come straight to the point ! " Mohini tried to play - " was the best part about you because let me suggest you as I had more experience than you in being a women "

Mohini stared at her to get a reaction but nothing so she continued - " women can't live with that - I think the first thing you should learn after this transformation" -she gestured her hands covering manu's body head to toe - " is to beat around the bush "

Manu laughed calmly, " I think I am meant to break the stereotypes then " she walked slowly to stairs and sit down while signalling her to do the same, " but if I ever need that - you would help me right ?? Afterall we'll be living in the same house ! We can help each other out. And I can't remember any vixen with better tormentng skills than you " manu completed looking at surroundings as if she hasn't done anything.

Mohini fumed at that " what do you want"

" Oh ! At last a good question ! You are smart there's no denying to that ? I was dying to have an intelligent conversation since last 4 hours but no luck. Everybody's concerned about trivial details and they seem to miss the most important point. You were my last hope !"

" Don't beat around the bush " Mohini blurt out. Manu finally looked at her with a sly smile on her face. Mohini slapped herself mentally. "You don't call me here because you wanted to have a chit chat. So what is it ?? Mohini asked as she was losing her cool.

" I need you help " manu again started to devour the surroundings.

'help' mohini trembled at that. She take a look manu. She was all relaxed, sitting next to her taking the pleasure of natural sight that surrounds them and she is asking for her help like she was her bestfriend.

" And what made you think that I will help you " Mohini played along. Ignoring her annoyance as she turned again to her smiling.

" Because you will need my help too ! And I support women welfare ! So let's be good ladies and help each other" she stated in a matter of fact style.

" I don't need your help"

"You will" manu quickly took over, turning towards her, complete focus on Mohini " I said you will. We both know the first thing Raj will do after his entry in Bajwa's house is to throw you and your kids out of the house " she amended -" out of the village actully! He hates you ! " Preet said shaking her head pressing her lips as she was telling her a universal truth that has to be dealt with.

" he hates you so much that he might send to moon if he can and we both also know that Nihal is not capable of handling Raj " Preet stares into Mohini's eyes " not this Raj ! He is not the bad guy. But think about it if he betray his childhood bestfriend just to get his father's appraisal what wouldn't he do to restore her mother's pride and position in the house. "

Mohini remembered Raj challanging her openly some hours ago and she had to admit she was scared. That was not a threat, that was his promise. And no matter how conniving Nihal is he is no match for Raj's. Raj proved the fact himself and the girl infront of her is a living proof of that.

" Which means you and your kids - out of house " preet's voice bring Mohini back to reality.

"How can I trust you ! What's if you backstab me and help Raj instead" Mohini stated her fears. She already know she need her help but she has to be sure she can be trusted to reveal all her dirty secrets in front of her.

" You have no choice" manu replied, " I am going in house and no one can stop me. I am Bajwa's bahu. With you without you I got what I want. I only need a helping hand. If not you someone else but thats not the case with you. So ! Your choice - you are going to help me or not ! "

Mohini read her carefully. She looked calm no hints no signs of anything. But she was firm. Well ! Raj deluded her and a broken women is the more dangerous than poison. She was evil before and she hated Amba to her core but she chooses to snatch Bajwa's throne because Bajwa's were responsible for Jai's death. She loved Jai and Amba came between so she spent all her might to avenge that. But now she needs to focus on Nihal. Bajwa's throne belong to her son and Preet can help her.

A person can change clothes but not character. And Manpreet Pawaniya doesn't accept defeat so easily. So Preet is heartbroken, she needs to avange Raj and Mohini want Raj out of Nihal's path. She can trust her.

" What's the deal" Mohini was really curious now. For the first time she is getting an equivalent smart partner and that too of same gender. This can be fun too.

" You want Nihal to be the shah and I want to Raj to suffer for his wrongdoings. I will not interfere in your matters as long as you will not interfere in mine. We will pretend to despise each other and no one can know about our deal. You will make sure that I will stay in that house comfortably and handle other trivial methods and in return for that I will distract Raj from you and your son."

" Why bother !! I can shoot Raj for you if you want and that will solve both our problems" Mohini suggested. She is already impressed by her new partner in crime.

" you think I can't do that ! Besides that won't do any good to any of us. Again ! Let me remind you - this is not the same Raj anymore' - and now that he has Harjeet uncle's support - we are no match for him. But if we both can just avoid giving troubles to each other we both can have much time to handle him.

Besides I am not asking your help for my revenge. I am only suggesting you stay out of my way and I will not disturb your startagem of getting Bajwa's throne"

" And when will this deal expire"

" When Raj will realise his mistake and I get my friend back. The one who isn't interested in either Bajwa's property or throne. The may be we will leave or what !? Till then you have all the time in the world to make Harjeet uncle believe that Raj only bring trouble for him" Preet stopped " he did by marrying me " and complemented herself, " crippled or not Raj is of no use to Bajwa's - once Harjeet uncle can get settle with this idea - Nihal will be the shah next moment"

" Deal" Mohini was on cloud nine. The mere idea of Nihal being the next shah made her forget all the rivalry with manu and all she wanted to do was give a tight hug to Preet.

" Not before you promise me you won't harm anyone anymore - no more bloodshed " Preet warned her.

Mohini went blank for a minute. She knew it. This girl loves Raj even now she is thinking about his life. Anyway that's not her business as per their deal.

Well she can do that, she don't need that anyway she is too smart to waste time with violence. So she shook her head in Affirmation.

" Then I promise you if Raj tries to harm any of you I will be save you. As long as you stick to your deal Raj can't harm you or Nihal ! "

Preet stretch out her hand and Mohini took it happily.

" So prepare for my welcome ! " Manu smiled at Mohini " and by the way ! As a gift to our new deal I wanted to inform you Amrit aunty is coming to Bajwa's haveli. I thought it would be helpful if you know it beforehand" Preet stated concernfully.

" What !! How ! Why ! I just - she said she won't return - my whole work went to waste !" Mohini was in tears.

" I'll take care of her "

"Huh!?" Mohini can't believe what she heard.

" I said - I will handle her " Preet patted her on shoulder and continued with smiling " come on I can do that for you we are partners now remember. Preet stated cheerfully " I know how to tackle her. I will ask her to focus on Raj and then may be we all can leave for Delhi, then you and Nihal can live happily ever after."

Mohini jumped onto preet. Crashing Preet into her arms. After coming back to normal she said " then you have Mohini's words no one move you from Bajwa's house as long as I am there. Let's play partner "

Manu smiled " okay ! Good then but for now you should leave. No one can see us together. I will go after you. See you soon."

Mohini will remember this day for the rest of her life. She has seen many people turning evil in the hands of fate but few people she met in her life who made her believe that despite all goodness prevails. Pawaniyas are one of those but today what she witness set her at peace - if Amba Pawaniya's daughter can resort to such level in the name of revenge then she has all the right to be this evil. The tiniest bit of her guilt left her today. Love does that to you -betrayal can. She was happy and content - inthe whatever happened it happened for good. She has the ace card on her side. Now she has no fear. The only think left to do is to persuade Harjeet and get Nihal the Shah's turban. Time for the last trick !

Manu watched as Mohini left happily. She has to say she always overestimated Mohini. But then today is the day for surprises. She laughed as she has been controlling it - how can Mohini believe all that. Revenge, betrayal or anything we choose our paths and that make all the difference. No matter what you do what you choose - your intentions should be kind. Goodness wins over evil everytime, that's a cosmic law.

Her train of thoughts sent to a stop by the ringing of her phone. She picked the phone -

" How did it went??"

" Amazing ! You were so right I can't believe she buy it !"

" I told you. She was so tensed after seeing me. She might believe a fox. "

" Hahahaha !! Yes mummuji she got terrified even at the mention of your name ! It was so funny ! My stomach hurts!"

" Hahahaha okay beta ! Now go home or Amba will be worried. I am waiting for you. Let do thsi. "

" Your wish is my command ! Let's do this. Time to execute the plan - to show our last trick".

Hey ! I really loved this one I have you will like it too. Anyways next chap is a surprise. You guys will love it. It might take some time though.

Also I am trying to change the name "waaris os " but I don't know how to edit if anyone can help plese. Also index oh I am so busy.

THis is amazing...I just read all the chapters in one sitting.

What I've realized is that your writing has improved from when you began to write the Fanfic. Small Complain, though the characters seem a bit OTT but that maybe just me.
