Behind the scenes happening on Waar Parivaar

Striking Gold!

The talented musical duo of Ali Ghani brothers have time and again landed up in the danger zone on Waar Parrivar but off the show they have had some stroke of good luck. Their talent has not gone unnoticed by those who matter. It is being said that the duo has landed a prime offer from a well-known music company to be their in-house sound directors. Beyond doubt, the talented brothers deserve the good fortune. Ghani Mohammad, the elder of the two has already seen the family's fortunes changing with the success of his young son Samir who went on to be the finalists on Little Champs. Is the father following the footsteps of his sonny boy!

Udit Narayan - a master of gaffes?

Udit Narayan seems to be fast gaining the reputation of being the master of gaffes. On Waar Parrivar his howlers are becoming mandatory. "Blessed are those who have the gift of singing and a stage like Waar Parrivar to perform," he said and added, " What more does one want in life?" "Money" quipped Kumar Sanu seated beside him.
To which Udit came back with a reply, "No one wonder some people horde it in empty tanks!" A bewildered Kumar Sanu was left speechless. Who is to enlighten Udit Narayan that it is not Kumar Sanu but the late Kishore Kumar who was rumored to be indulging in such antics to evade the IT officials!

Music comes to the rescue.

Kumar Sanu's songs may have become a rarity but his voice remains intact. When Ali Ghani family sang his evergreen song from the Vinod Khanna- Meenakshi starrer -- Jab koi baat bigad jaaye … he recalled an incident that happened recently. The Doctor's Association of Hong Kong informed him that the song had therapeutic effect on a cancer patient for whom the song was played repeatedly. The same effect was seen in the case of a suicidal woman in London whose life was saved by this song. Kumar Sanu makes it a point to speak to the lady over the radio station whenever he is in the British capital.

Udit's Dil Se...

There is an interesting story behind every song. Udit Narayan, in a jovial mood, narrated one about the recording of the Dil Se number – Ae ajnabi tu bhi kabhi…
He recollected A R Rehman being a stickler for detailsBut, on the same note, Udit Narayan was also pushed to the limits of perfection He was given the lyrics of the song and not familiar with Gulzaar saab's Urdu, Udit decided to call the lyricist at that late hour of the night only to be told that he was at a recording. So he called up Jatin and to his utter delight found out that Gulzarsaab was right beside him. He recalls how surprised Gulzarsaab was to get a call from a leading singer to get the pronunciations right. Needless to say he was very impressed with Udit's dedication.

"Behind every successful song there is a story," said Udit.

But this week, Udit has been on the receiving end. Our birdie couldn't help, but turn a deep shade of red telling us that Udit Narayan should take his job as a judge seriously while he is at it. After all, the fate of the contestants hangs on it. His manner of giving marks to contestants seems to be leave a bad taste. If asked to comment first on the performance he sometimes gives very low marks and then when the other judge appreciates the performance he quickly reverses his marks to give the highest score – leaving the contestants perplexed. The result was that the mentor of the contestants picked up cudgels on their behalf and pulled up both judges (Kumar Sanu getting the flak for Udit's follies) and when an argument ensured Jatin Pandit threatened to leave the show.

"I take my music and my efforts as a mentor very seriously and you should take your role as judges seriously too!" We are with you Jatinji.
