I didn't see Chandragupta Maurya fully but did watch small bits and Rushiraj was pretty good in what I saw...

I liked him best as Patta (Sisodia?) in Maharana Pratap.

His portrayals of Karthikeya, Meghanada and Shani Deva seems... Well... I don't know how to explain. Rushiraj is a phenomenal actor and managed to drag me into the roles but... something lacks... Maybe it's the imagery we grew up with and it just doesn't add up.

Wanted to tag you as well as Chatterbox in my previous post but IF didn't allow me to...

South Indian languages are following up on Veer Hanuman. Just like in Sony Sab. Malayalam started already, the other languages to follow soon as and when SR ends. The trend seems to be the same... probably the same teams working on the new shows as well... Don't know if I should be happy or sad but it's probably going to be pretty painful until at least Vanvas starts.

Saw yesterday's and today's episode.

Of late, the episodes are just plain ridiculous...

Kid Hanuman walks angrily and 'Lal langote wala' plays in the background...

I probably should share my experience of watching today's episode

I was laughing within the first 30 seconds... And then the next few minutes and the first half was pretty much a mixture of a street brawl and daily soap...

Family joined in as I say down to watch the episodes and kept commenting making it more hilarious.

In the first half, the street brawl felt excessive with everyone screaming. Hanuman and his friends call Shani Deva a scammer(? Fake? Not sure which) who is currently disguised as a sage. Sugreeva turns up and tries to prevent Hanuman from disrespecting a sage along with the rest of the town echoing the same thoughts. Hanuman's grip is too tight and Shani Deva manages to control everyone in the area except Hanuman. Everyone is now against Hanuman but he doesn't budge while Sugreeva suddenly becomes as outrageous as Vali.

Elsewhere Anjana proceeds with the sacrifice... I still don't understand what she's trying to do.

At this point family comments asking me why everyone played Holi with just their foreheads... Swastik's habit of spray painting foreheads got the spotlight today.

Sugreeva and Hanuman are now in front of Vriksharaj, Vali and ministers and Sugreeva is being scolded for what he did to Hanuman. Sugreeva doesn't defend himself despite asking forgiveness from Hanuman earlier and the latter forgives and understands.

At this point I was getting frustrated with IF since it wouldn't let me tag people and a comment from family turned up...

Why does the girl have a beard...? And clothes are bit revealing... No...?

I looked up to see Vali with Elsa hairstyle filling the screen and couldn't stop laughing for the next few minutes. Almost missed his entire dialogue (or monologue).

Vali chimes in advance plays his double game while everyone praises him.

Elsewhere Hanuman is in search of the fake saint while he encounters a cliffhanger...

Someone screams for help while hanging from a cliff and Hanuman tries to help but he falls... wailing all the way...

Family asks why he imitates a siren and I really don't have an answer for all Swastik absurdities...

The promo was ... interesting to say the least...

There are stories of Shani Deva getting hurt trying to exert his influence on Hanuman and then Hanuman offers (either gingelly/sesame oil or mustard oil) to ease his pain and hence Shani Deva blessed him/gave a boon saying anyone who offers gingelly/mustard oil will be spared from his effects or his effects would reduce just like his pain did.

I guess we can see Ayodhya and more cast... Looking forward to seeing them but not looking forward to the story... dreading how fanciful it might get...
