Itv is so bad now that it has to show OTT shows on tv catering to their popularity. Also the toxicity is a Never ending Cycle now. Any show that tries to break away isn't liked by this fanbase and dies.
Like an example. Recently I saw a post on Insta by DKP where the 4 new gen actors of Women Empowermentmaa are having a blast with a fun chat and games. Clearly they are trying to promote this generation.
But toxic fans spoil the comment section and still want 80+ yrs old buddha and buddhi story.
@yes...did with raisinghani vs raisinghani
. Aaj se aayega Sony pe
since it completed in Sony liv.
Why would audience want to waste their time on toxic and uncreative shows when they have better, short and crisp stories on web.
There was a time when new shows used to run in morning and afternoon slot along with prime time. Now we have only typical 6:30/7 - 10:30 slot where new shows are telecasting 🤦 There was shows from every genre from children, to detective, horror ,comedy, youth, love stories, but now we have typical family drama or preachy shows as most of the other genres has shifted to ott. Even if we have good intresting concept with good casting, ph will ruin it by not ending on time and dragging it unnecessarily. Latest eg is dhruv Tara and vanshaj.
Here mostly ML's are pushing 40 and fl are really in teens or early 20's. No wonder we don't have epic ITV jodis which used to have in 2000's. Till 2018, shows used to get 4-5 trp and now 2+ is the highest.
Thnx to ott and short attention span of viewers, ITV is really grasping on straws. So the only way to survive is catering to toxicity, bringing extremely young fls, and unnecessarily showing dark plotlines.
