I agree...he is pretty basic in terms of being a villain. Haven't got sharpness to figure out stuff for himself, just a typical power-hungry.

I think more than this it is to do with the fact that his whole life, he was told that he is the next heir, only he can rule and has the right to do that, and for now he doesn’t see Yuvika and her family as a threat to his goals but when he will, he is going to plan and plot against them

Then he shouldn't have been given lines like Fatichar etc.

Right now it seems like he is anti Prem family yet he isn't a match to them. That's looking very off

Either show him ignoring this family or show him a match, no idea how it would proceed but as of now his character is seeming off to me

Exactly and problem is that it's not actor's fault. He is doing good and him and Yuvika have a great hate chemistry/spark

It's his character which is so lame that is the problem

Also was Duryodhan anti god? I don't remember any mention of this in the book , the only god he went up against was Krishna but no one at that time knew he was a god....idk it's been a really long time since i read MB.
