March 12 Wednesday

I paying for my past mistakes Vani tells him why you didn't tell me before - I was a different person then - now I changed person - when I saw Devi' s mom I realizes she is Murthy's daughter I wanted to Do something for his family - I forgot Murthy when I saw Devi' s mom it all came back

I arranged for her mother's treatment gave job to her in order to reduce my guilty conscience when I lost the 3 kodi I thought it's Murthy portion and I told her don't worry about it - I am going to make her shareholder of my company - being honest person hard to live - the only sad part is my son thought bad about me - Vani opened the door and walked away Bhoomi calling Vani Vani she went to other room and locked it

Selvi getting phone call from Malathy - she ask money to buy medicine to her daughter - Rajesh looking at her

Surya & Gowtham talking I don't see appa or Amma - appa ashamed that's why he didn't come out yet - how he is going to face us - I am afraid Gowtham what is Amma going to do - I don't know how she is going take this - everybody respect Amma but appa doing this to her make me sick

Police came to take Bhoomi he ask why you are taking me to police station - police saying I will you there let's go - Bhoomi saying I need to know tell me - surya calling Amma Vani ask what is the compliant police saying Devi gave compliant that he raped her - Bhoomi saying no Vani I didn't do it - Devi wouldn't do this - police says let's go - Bhoomi saying I didn't do anything I am innocent please believe me - I am not going anywhere he sits in the sofa - Vani tells him to go - I will see you there

Bhoomi saying why my reputation will be ruined - can I change my cloths police saying we are going tp police station this is enough - Bhoomi ask can I come in my car police says no come with me

You have money and your wife is lawyer think you can make any mistakes - Vani and sons stand there police taking Bhoomi

Surya and Gowtham telling her see what he did to us I am ashamed do him - Vani tells them Just Shut up you don't know anything so stop it - you can see and hear that doesn't mean it' s correct - I am going to get ready in 10 min go and sit in the van both of them stand there thinking

Rajesh saying I will drop you to your office on the way she is tensed - he is telling her are you dieting you only had 2 dosai - he is telling her drink buttermilk it's good for you - she is distracted thinking about Malathy - he drops her to the office she goes inside and tell the receptist that she warned to take the day off

At the police station lot of reporters run to Bhoomi ask what did you do - he tells them I didn't do anything - I didn't rape anyone - why the police insulting me

Police bring Bhoomi inside dreams queen sitting and crying - he ask why ? I did help you with your mom , job and trying to reunite with your lover and you are accusing me why? She tells I respected you and you used me he says paavi paavi I didn't say anything when I lost money police says why you didn't complain Bhoomi looked lost - Commissoner came there and ask what do you say about her complain he tells them I saw on the road side and helped her mom and gave her job - gave them them house to stay I did all these and I treated her like my daughter - she tells yes he did all so this and I always wondered why he is helping me I didn't know his motive why help me at all

Now I know the reason I never saw differently ask the office people and his sons they will tell you

Vani Rani - Episode 298 (Friday, 14^th March 2014)

Hi everyone! Have you all sent in your PM message to me for our VR 300^th episode celebration thread to be launched on Monday? And in case you're wondering what I'm doing updating the Friday episode instead of the Saturday one as usual, I swapped with Shathir who is replacing Kames so for this week, I'm your Friday updater and Shathir will be your Saturday updater. 😆 Also, this week, you're saved from my usual looong, rambling updates peppered overly generously with comments because (1) I'm tied down with personal work and (2) The episode wasn't very inspiring! 🤔 Shall we start? 😉

Written Update

Episode continues with Rajesh questioning Selvi while Sura watches on. He says Selvi is doing all this because of sambathikira thimiru. Selvi justifies her actions by saying she is helping Malathi for Swami. Her reasoning is Swami was also born to second channel so when she sees Malathi, she is reminded that Swami's life could have been like that if Angu hadn't taken him in. Sura looks sympathetic but Rajesh gives Selvi ultimatum to stop helping Malathi. He says that Sura is the most important person for him and if Selvi goes against Sura, he won't hesiatate to go against Selvi. Sura sends Rajesh away and tells Selvi while she understands her reasoning, for her, Selvi's life is most important and to take care of it as helping Malathi would alienate Rajesh. Selvi thinks. (Do pay special attention to Rajesh's expression when Selvi is giving him her reasoning, his expression was exactly like chapathi dough being kneaded or a plastic doll's face when you press in the nose! 🤣 I couldn't help laughing each time the camera panned on him . . . Kames, we so have to get him shaving blades yaar! Mudiyale! )

Next scene: Vani's house. Vani, Bhoomi, Gautham and Surya return. Gautham falls on Bhoomi's leg and apologises for doubting him. (Habba, after the 5 weeks, I finally get to update something about Gautham! ) Surya joins in and Bhoomi hugs them and says it's his fault, not theirs. Vani advises Bhoomi not to talk about things being his fault anymore. Bhoomi says Vani saved not just his reputation but also his life. He says either he would have died or he would have killed Devi. Bhoomi thanks Vani for standing by him and says he might not have shown the same confidence in Vani if the situation was reversed. Vani says if she hadn't done that then there would be no meaning to their life together and he was in the right, and that is why she could defend him so boldly and confidently. She says the boys doubting their father is because of their age and because they have never been close to Bhoomi. Bhoomi admits that is his fault and that he should have come clean from the start but couldn't because they had just started trusting him and he was afraid to lose that trust. He says he has always been a coward. Vani shushes him and says not anyone can build a granite empire and not everyone would admit their sins, repent and try to atone for it and that's where his courage lies and not to let self sympathy grow. Bhoomi thanks Vani and she says him thanking her is what makes her feel bad. Gautham says when Vani defended Bhoomi, he felt as if Vani was born to be Bhoomi's wife. Vani is touched and tells Bhoomi in tears, these 2 solid gold boys we have are our biggest treasure. Now onward let's forget all this and focus on the boys and their future. She tells him it's time to get Surya married, let's focus on that and for that I need you energetic so no sitting around and moping, get up and get going. She sends the boys off on errands and tells Bhoomi to get ready as well. Bhoomi sits watching after Vani as she leaves with tears in his eyes. (Makkale, this was such a beautiful scene, even if you watch nothing else in this episode, you must make an effort to watch this one scene that was the saving grace of an otherwise lackluster episode. Bhoomi as he sat watching Vani with tears and that small smile was the most good looking I've ever seen him in VR. But editors, please note: Surya's foot was in the scene the whole time and it was filthy! 😲 Come on yaar, he probably only takes his shoes off at home so where else could he have picked up all that dust if not on sets? Not done yaar, should have paid some attention to this. *Shree is obsessive compulsive so these kind of overlooked details, especially since the offending foot was on her screen throughout the scene, makes her think of pulling out antiseptic wipes and scrubbing hard at her now offensive by association screen. Mummy! 😭*)

Next scene: Poo and Karthik arrive at the temple on his bike. A flower seller asks them to buy flowers but Poo refuses. Flower seller advises Poo that she is newly married and shouldn't refuse flowers or show so much anger. Karthik tells the flower seller that this is their "udal" 🤢 not Poo's anger and her name itself is Poongodi, why does she need more flowers. Poo gets irritated and leaves while Karthik buys the flowers and the flower seller comments that Poo's anger is not good for the family. (I didn't like this scene, the flower seller was there to sell her flowers, Karthik was buying the flowers, so all other comments from her directed at Poo is strictly unnecessary and rather offensive!) Karthik asks Poo for hairpin to put on the flowers for Poo. Poo stares at him and grabs the flowers and puts it on. Karthik is thrilled but Poo cuts him off saying she put it on to spare herself any further irritation from him and not to read any meaning into it. Poo sees her friend and goes to talk to her. The friend asks about Poo's marriage and Poo said it was arranged suddenly. Karthik introduces himself and gets a call so walks away. Poo questions her friend how did she forget about her lover and marry someone else and now is 7 months pregnant. Her friend sings her husband's praises and says he made her forget her lover and now she is very happy in life with such a gem of a husband. Poo smiles disbelievingly while Karthik who has finished his call, stands behind a wall and eavesdrops on the conversation. (Suttham, appadiye Angu and Jyo butthi ivannakku, bloody kevalavathi kudumbam!) Karthik rejoins the conversation and Poo rushes to leave. Karthik invites the friend and her husband to their house. He asks Poo to pray before leaving but Poo replies she didn't come to pray, if he wishes to pray she'll wait and walks away. (Based on this scene, Shree puts in an impassioned plea to the creatives not to join Poo and the kevalavathi, how could anyone live with someone as irritating as him!)

Last scene: Night time at Sura's house. Selvi sitting in her room looking upset. Sura asks Selvi to eat but she refuses. Sura advises her not to show her anger on Rajesh to her stomach. Sura says Rajesh is behaving like that as he loves Sura a lot. Selvi says she has no problem with that but that love should not come at the expense of Malathi's welfare. Rajesh comes in and tell Sura not to bother if Selvi ate or not and scolds Selvi about still defending Malathi. Selvi says she has told him her reasoning so why is he still being so stubborn. Rajesh says he does not give a damn about her reasoning and Malathi can go to hell for all he cares. Selvi stares at him in anger and episode ends.

⭐️ Episode 300 👏

Begins with temple gopura dharisanam. Beautifully dressed Poo temple la prayers mudichuttu waiting for someone. Mano arrives and thanks Poo for acknowledging his request to meet at the temple.

Athiradi segment.. Penning down all dialogues.. Enjoy makkale.🥳

Poo: What matter?

Mano: How are you?

P: partha theriyala. Same height and weight. Exactly same as how I left our home. 😆

M: That is my concern too. Are you happy with mappilai.🤢😡

P: stares and asks what do you want. Did you summon me to ask this.

M: don't get angry. I never imagined that I will hunt for words to talk with my daughter. You are my usiru. I am living for you. Your marriage happened against your wishes. I know you trusted me till the last minute. But I used you for my selfishness. I am now dying of guilt that I ruined my daughter's life. 😡 late realisation Sir..

P: Ok. What else? 👍🏼

P: don't mistake me. My education would have helped me find a job and stand on my own legs. M: Poo you are married.

P: I know and am wearing all id's like thali, metti and uchi kungumam for it. 😆 But no one can decide whom I should think of in my heart. ⭐️ You understand. ⭐️ You guys want me to give birth to child out of this marriage to prove that I am living happily with the guy you chose. Appa nu kooda parka matten. I will cut you into pieces. 👏🤗

A shocked Mano just says Poongodi.

P: Thank god I don't have a chameleon behavior like you. 👍🏼Changing your thoughts and actions as per the situation. Sema BGM played. Enna jenmam pa neenga ellam. 😊 The only privilege I am giving you guys now is you guys can go around telling that Poo is your daughter.😛 Don't try to use that privilege and advise me on how and whom I should live with. I am staying there only for this thali around my neck. Don't expect anything more. Tell your wife. If she ever steps in with her mom and ask me to go for honeymoon or sani moon 😆 and try any cheap tricks I will burn her alive. You got your father and for your wife her wish fulfilled. Poo walks off and Mano stands crying with a soga BGM.

R continues.. you should have checked about kathir and his power before going to attack him. Sara says 4 laksh which you gave us was a big money. R says just think that 4 lakhs nasama pochu. You should have asked him once and I would have stopped you. Kathir has a big network. Sara says my father and me cannot repay your loan even if we work like dogs for ages. We thought by running the hotel we will earn some profits, repay your loan and lead a contended life. He spoilt everything. R says it is your fate that kathir has taken up your hotel. Forget that and move ahead. You can repay my loan later too. No need to hurry. But keep off from Kathir. In fact kathir has been my banker in tough times We cannot run our business by avenging him. Budhi yoda pozhaikira vazhiya paru. Sara nods but stares after R leaves. 😲

Mano comes home. Poo probes.. Did you meet Poo and talk to her. Did she agree to live happily with K. Mano yells she kari thuppufied me. She asked tongue pulling questions. 😊 We decided what's best for her and did not bother about her wishes. She is clear on not living with him. I feel ashamed. I have fulfilled her small-small wishes also from her birth. But when it came to deciding her life we turned into a hell for her.⭐️ Angu butts in. 😡 We got her married to her murai paiyyan and this marriage paved way for you to unite with your father. Mano says I don't deny it. Your daughter correctly used my weakness i.e my longing to unite with my father and made me fall for this. I ruined my daughters' happiness and chose to become selfish.👍🏼 Jo yells don't talk as if we pushed her into a well. Mano says it is a well for her. She has buried her happiness, dreams and all her wishes and is living there namesake. Jo yells at Mano for being a useless fellow who could not convince his daughter. Looks like you fell for her crocodile tears. Mano slaps Jo 😲 🥳 and screams had it been you she would have strangled you. How dare you lie to my father that she agreed to marry Karthik. Imagine what will happen, if she tells my appa that you forced her to marry Karthik or reveals that she loves Sara and walks off saying I cannot live Karthik. FIL mela pasam nu scene podaraye.. if he knows the truth and dies, my akka will come here and curse you pouring sand. yendapa yarume postive va yosikave mattela.. 😡 Jo says you too agreed for this marriage. Mano says yes but you made me agree by showing my father. Angu says how could we have agreed for that useless Sara. Mano screams you guys always think of money. First 100 crore Surya and then 25 crore Karthik. If not some 5 core guy you would searched but not bothered about what she wished. You cannot understand my pain. She has never listened to my views and you never bothered to advise her. If Bhoomi nods for Vani's words you are irked, why the same logic does not apply here. When your daughter was in love you honored that coz I had a secure govt job. But for my daughter's love social status was a barrier. Now she does not want to live with guy you got her married. Why don't use your bag of money and try to change her. She will thrash you with her slippers. . Jo defends Angu and says when you are also a part of this decision why blame only us. 👍🏼 I agree Mano says you guys changed me. She isn't happy there and is the same Poo (mentally and physically) we sent from here. She loves Sara only and in this jenmam she will not accept Karthik. We have ruined her lives and all that pavam on you and your mom only. (yenda.. when VR came running, neither angu nor Jo were around. Why didn't you use your brain.. 😡😡😡) Angu tries to talk. Manu yells sut up. If you talk kolai vizhum and walks off.

Rani's home. Swami updates Rani about Sara - kathir matter, Sara's anger and how he slogged to control it. Both polambufy about how Sara has changed, the pains he is undergoing and decide to take it patiently in handling him. Swami dusts his coffee can and all question him. Swami says I have decided to resume sukku coffee selling instead of sitting idle and thinking about what we lost. Sara says I am there to earn. Swami says when we asked you to study you didn't listen. Now my turn. Be happy that we have a way out and are better off than many others. Thenu in tears. Rani says though I too am sad. I am not against this decision. We should not forget that we slogged for this stage too. Sara says looks like we always come back to starting point. Rani cheers him up saying soon happy days will come. Don't question your father's decision. A teay-eyed Thenu asks amma appo inime hotel kadayadha.. All are sad.

Friday - Episode 304

Bhoomi crying and Vani trying to console him. She says to ignore as what others in the world comment. She did knew about Bhoomi and their kids knew, so better don't bother. She tells him that appa came today to my office, and did give her thai veetu serru, after 25 years. She also tells them that she had invited Poo-Karthik for feast(Why Gautham or Bhoomi, did not question as how is Poo)..Vani request bhoomi to tell as how was the saree?..Bhoomi replies that she is happy, and hence the saree is good..(Loved it Bhoomi..Guys you should watch the scene..Bhoomi, Vani and Gautham reactions was bang on)..Gautham and Vani takes away, bhoomi and tells him to cheer up. Kevalavathi's home, marriage video and album is delivered(Indha munchikku idhu onnuthan korachal)..Mom receives it and calls everybody to watch it..Karthik plays the Video. Megala, wants the saree as that of Jyo, and Karthik comments on that. Mom wanted to wear T-Shirt.(People around don't you all have sense that Poo remains unhappy). Mom on looking at Suniyakara Kilavi tells that SK is also as happy as me(You mental, is a marriage to be held for MOM and SK to be happy..really I felt to switch off the TV)..Just while watching the video, sudden power cut. Everybody leaves. Karthik as usual delivers irritating dialogues, but was cut down by Poo..He leaves to sleep. Power resumes back and Poo plays the video with irritation, and spots Sara, rushing to the mandapam, and finds him crying(Lovely BGM)..Poo sits crying..

Selvi arrives home, Rajesh stops her and questions, where did she come..Sura starring. Rajesh yells at Selvi, when you had disobeyed my Mom, then there is no point talking with you. Better get out of the house. Sura shuts him(Lovely Sura, you have proved that you are not a ordinary MIL)..Rajesh tells Selvi that I did love you so much, didn't I even complaint about my father in police. I did wanted you to complete your education, and wanted earn. I did everything in the earth for you, but you did not bother about me or my mom..(Rajesh, I felt was right..Selvi is doing a big mistake by helping Arumugam..She can better complaint about Arumugam in Police, and tell Vani to make arrangements for Malathy, and lead her life peacefully..Ana nan appuram yosichen..Ippadi sencha, kathai eppadi pogum)..Selvi tells Rajesh, I shall abide by Rajesh, and prepares to leave..Sura tries to stop her, but in dismay(Selvi, when you can sympathise with Malathy, why can't you empathise with Sura, in the world no women will accept a second channel). Selvi leaves(Selvi..why you have done such a blunder..Your marriage is the root cause for VR Separation, Poo-Sara separation, and now why have you separated yourself from Rajesh)..

Next day morning Poo meets Sara, Sara questions how is your hubby(Ada Pavi..)..Poo replies even now will you not ask as how am I?..Sara cuts her off questioning as what she wanted to talk, as people around may think bad. Poo yells, what did anybody gain out of the sacrifice..I did not definitely gain anything?..Sara says there is nothing called sacrifice and I did not lose anything(You deserve no sympathy idiot)..Poo shouts at him,didn't I leave everything and come to your home, you did tell me to marry him to prove my love, look now what has happened?..Sara tells that whatever should happen has happened..I am happy that you married Karthik(Poo..I shall send you a pistal..this mourn should be shot dead continuously)..Poo tells that I came to knew that you got arrested only when Vani told..You thought about everything, but failed to think about us..Had you thought this pain would not have arrised
