As a mother She couldnt go around telling people that her son is impotent. She couldnt tell the world about her son's weaknesses...

I think Sita shoulf feel guilty, first of all she didnt warn Vaidehi enough about her son and the family. COnsidering that I think Vaidehi has the right to know the truth and Sita hiding it means Vaidehi will get to know the info from else where and might start to jump to conclusions.
