The mystery man sees the missed calls and message, and then deletes all the messages from Sanju and Ella, and guess what name we find there- Samentha Fernandes- the actress from Dil Dosti Dance. I wonder, is Samentha a character in BFF? Samentha is a real person. Now think about how this adds up.

I don't think she has anything to do with the show, maybe the director just decided to use Shritima's real cell phone and since Samantha and her both work in channel V, they probably know each other personally and those might have been real messages from Samentha to Shritima from an earlier time.

Then again, we see Sanju watching an episode of Dil Dosti Dance. Let's see what you make of it.

It just makes Dil Dosti Dance a show within a show, and not so much in the same universe as BFF. First, we have an actress from the show on Vinnie's cellphone records, and then the show itself in the BFF universe.
