I think he do feels something for sanju. The way he was angry when varun misbehaved with her and his happiness when sanju hugged him is like that he is likes sanju and has feelings but think that he doesn't deserve her or she doesn't likes him. That's why he is backing out. And i too think that ela will create problem.
