Memory is a child walking along a seashore. You never can tell what small pebble it will pick up and store away among its treasured things.

Yuvi finished reading news paper and gets up to go in his room. [He is thinking "I think she must be ready by now and gone down to eat breakfast. I better go and get ready, otherwise paa will create another issue"]. Actually he never liked to read news papers and stuff like that, just to pass this time he decided to go through them as there was no other place in the house apart from this balcony where he could sit peacefully wid out getting disturbed. He was about to reach near the door and open it in haste, when a sweet humming tune coming from his room slows down his pace. He opens the door slightly, just enough to peep inside. Mukta was standing near the window , wid her open wet hairs and drying them wid her towel. Yuvi's heart rate accelerated wid each drop of water falling from tresses of her hair , tinkling noise of her silver bangles which synchronized with her humming tune was casting spell on him which drove his heart more towards her . She looked like fresh bloomed flower in her yellow salawar and matching bindi and jhoomka enhanced her radiance. Yuvi was pleasantly surprised to see watch gifted by him on her hand , he remembered her smiling face when she was showing it to her friends. How much he misses those days when they spent hours together in library, parks , coffee shop, panipuri stalls , discos n clubs. He had to admit that though he boasted to his friend that this is part of his revenge plan, but actually he enjoyed her company and no girl who came close to him could ever replace the place for her in his heart. Be it the feeling of hate or the love , it was always maximum and intense for mukta only.

Mukta spots yuvi standing at the door when she turns to keep the towel on the chair.

Mukta: yuvi ?

Yuvi: no I just reached. If you are ready than I will go to take bath, do you want to use bathroom now?

Mukta: no..i will go down and help in kitchen for preparation of breakfast.

Yuvi : ok

Bundela house , dining table at 9:30 am

Mai: yuvi come beta, see we ordered your breakfast from restaurant today, pizza, sandwich and spring roll. You don't like Indian breakfast na, don't worry I will soon allot a cook who can make western dishes for you .

Yuvi smiles faintly and sits on the chair. But his eyes are searching for mukta.

Amla: don't worry yuvi , mukta is in kitchen. And mai this breakfast is made by our choti bahurani , those people from restaurant had forgotten about our order and when kaskaka called them they said it will take another 1 and half hour to reach the parcel. So choti bahu said better cancel the order , she will make this things for yuvi in an half hour. And you know mai she also prepared puri , aloo sabji and halwa. Laloo you should eat halwa , the smell of it has already increased my appetite .She has good culinary skills.

Mai: she made all this, than I don't want to eat . Tell kaska to send milk for me later.

Amla: but mai...

Mai: what?..I said na . I don't want anything made by her.

Amla: mai you already had two katori es of halwa and 6 puri wid sabji. You want milk now or after 1 hour. Otherwise you will have digestion problem if you eat so much at one time.

Tapsaya smiles looking at honest query of amla, she says "don't worry amla , choti bahu has prepared breakfast wid so much of love , that it will never cause stomach upset ." mai leaves the room angrily.

But yuvi was just present there physically and his mind had gone in past along wid aroma of the halwa.

Flashback scene.

Yuvi: mukku nukku this is just amazing, so tasty. Who made this? I just want to kiss those hands who prepared this halwa. You know, I don't like Indian dishes which are made of so much of oil n sugar. But this halwa is just perfect, wid right amount of oil n sugar yet so delicious.

Mukta: why you want to know? you ate my lunch box. Now after we finish this chapter, you have to sponsor vadapav for me in canteen, ok.😛

Yuvi: my princess will eat in canteen?😲 No way , let's go to new coffee shop near kfc. But first you tell me who made this halwa?😉

Mukta: my nani ..happy.😆

Yuvi: what?lol That day she was flirting wid me on the phone, pretending to be you!😆 Tell me something, she is pretty like you? Then I don't mind to be nana of this cute girl.😳 Chalo boyfriend nahi toh nana hi sahi.

Mukta: stop it yuvi,😡 you have so many girlfriends! Try such tricks on them, it won't work on me.😛 Please spare my nani, anyways I made this halwa.😉

Yuvi: thank god!! I don't have to become your nana to eat this halwa everyday. But I will be really happy if I can take natin of that nani to my house to make such halwa for me every day.😉 What say..shall I try my luck to win her?

Mukta: yuvi!!😡

Yuvi: ok don't be angry. Now if you don't mind can I say thank you to those beautiful hands. [He takes her both the hands in his hands and places soft peck on them before even mukta could react. She is embarrassed and withdraws her hands away😳]

Mukta: mr flirtsingh bundela, I m not like your dumb girlfriends to get impress by such charming gentlemanwala tactics ok😛. So bye , we shall finish the chapter tomorrow.

Yuvi: but what about date in coffee shop?😕

Mukta: date!!?? 😲Keep dreaming yuvi.😆

Yuvi : yeah mukku nukku , and one day my dreams will turn true.😉 [But Mukta continued to walk ignoring his rasping chuckle which was teasing and inviting her back to continue their nok jhok.]

End of flashback

Amla: yuvi .. you can start to eat the breakfast. I will call choti bahu also, As you had told me , I had given her haldi milk yesterday night.Don't worry so much! It will take her sometime to adjust here ok . But you'll see ,soon she will handle this house very efficiently.

Tapsaya glanced at yuvi in surprise. she came late yesterday as she was busy with lawyer making sure that tej won't get any bail for next few days for his case filed against him for fighting with people in bar and breaking bottle on the waiter. She wanted to keep him away from mukta as long it is possible. Today mukta was going to meet jogi , she hoped that her father will understand her and force her stay with them . She was so busy yesterday due that tej , that she could not enquire about mukta whole day . late night she went to amla's room and amla told that mukta is sleeping after drinking the milk and yuvi has gone out and most probably won't return .she was relieved that at least her daughter had drank milk and she is safely sleeping in the room , so she avoided to disturb her. But she was shocked to hear first from mukta that yesterday both of them were in one room , and now from amla that it was yuvi who cared to make sure that mukta was given at least milk and will not sleep hungry.

Mukta also comes and joins yuvi , amla and her mom on dining table. Tapsaya keeps her hand on her head and silently comforts her, as she knew that she was anxious to meet her grandfather. All three continued to eat their breakfast quietly, while amla continued to praise halwa puri making environment at dining table little lighter and relaxing.
