@bold -- Last year aroung sept or oct, HC passed a law forbidding ex-wife using their ex-husband's surname.

I did not know that about the surname so I apologize..........thanks I learn something new everyday.

CV's never show what they are meant to and anyone who has been watching UT should have learnt by now to read between the lines............if they choose not to, there is nothing one can do.
How come these arguments did not come up when Kinjal was about to get married to Veer???😕😕😕................anyway everyone might as well get used to the fact that the CV's are pulling the puppet strings

I am sorry Aditiji for misleading you. Its not the law but Mumbai HC has ruled against the woman who is using her ex surname as the man has objected the usage. So as u said the technically Taps can use the name. I have also edited my post

No issues😃 I think we must stop apologising to each other..............😊😉. I agree that usage of an ex's name can be very frustrating for the man and worse for his new wife.

Marriage in Ghunghat of Tapasya to Veer is both illegal and against religion for the reasons hermoinee & party mentioned in this thread. Since Veer hasn''t put sindoor&mangalsutra physically on Ichcha, Veer hasn't married anyone that day. As a free man Veer had chosen Ichcha who is also single at that time. So Veecha's marriage has no ambiguity and they are legally wed.

A divorcee women has no right's over her ex-husband and she is not even supposed to use his surname and Tapasya does not do it. So veer sitting next to Tapasya really doesn't make any sense and its against hindu rituals to make a man and a lady who is not his wife anymore to sit together for puja in the place of Wife & husband is ghor aparadh. Plz Cvs spare us this......

There is only one point on which I want to add.............Ichcha too, was insistent on marrying Vansh..........not just Jogi and others...........no one forced her although Nani did put a guilt trip on her. But then Ichcha was always weak about Tapasya and her happiness.

Being a Bengali, our rituals are very different .............so you won't find a wedding like this getting very far with the covered face in a Bengali serial.............but I am not competent enough on these matters to comment............ as well as you have.

I agree with you Rahul! Veer has become the punching bag for all , in addition to mai and daddaji even veecha fans dont spare him. I am sure, he will not sit with tapasya in the puja. Either he will sit with iccha or tapasya herself will cancel the pooja because of the threat. I feel that before the puja , her blackmailer will call her once again and warn her that if veer sits in the place of father of the baby in the puja, he will come and expose and humiliate her in front of everyone. Fearing this, tapasya will either cancel the pooja or tell veer not to sit for the puja. I am sure she will turn this into her favor and will tell veer that she doesn't want to cause a rift between iccha and veer.

According to Hindu rituals, Veer Tapasya are not married, but according to Hindu marriage act, if he did not report the fraud within one year of the fraud and apply for divorce, but continued to live with her, she becomes his wife. This is a special case and so does not require the Sindoor and Mangal sutra act in the park, as already after the fraud he had accepted her due to pressure from his Mai and taken her back to his house and made her stand beside him as his wife during Vansh's marriage.

Putting Sindoor and Mangal sutra or exchanging garlands in a temple does not qualify as a valid marriage according to Hindu marriage act and 'Saat Pheres' is a very important ritual required to accept the marriage as valid... All these have been done to safeguard women from fraudsters.

If 6 months have passed after Vansh's death before Ichcha and Veer got married, it is possible that Veer has got his divorce from Tapasya as he already had the signed divorce papers from Tapasya and so the waiting period for the final decree of divorce is 6 months since it is by mutual consent, even if he had applied after Tapasya's exposure and exit from B house. Also there are other factors helping him to speed up the divorce because of Tapasya's misdeeds and the heart ache she has caused to him and his family. When Veer got married to Ichcha, Nani told Tapasya that Veer 'was' her husband and not any more now, implying that the divorce was completed. So now Ichcha is his wife and not Tapasya.

Of-course the first one ...😊...Veer bechara phas gaya in ladkiyon mein..kya se kya ho gaya iccha ke pyar mein...😆
