For those who dont know what they are they are Presigious International Haute Couture Labels and sure...fakes must be selling everywhere but the real exclusive genuine stuff is EXPENSIVE and will not be found just anywhere!. Louis Vuitton and Gucci has their own exclusive boutique in Taj Palaces in Mumbai and Chanel has their boutique in Delhi...

One small purse at Louis Vuitton will cost no less than $800...which in Indian Rupees is more than 30 000. And thats just the beginning of the price range. There are ladies handbags even small ones that go for more than a lakh! Chanel products are as exclusive and expensive. When I buy a Chanel lipstick here only I have to fork out $60...which in Indian Rupees is more than 2000 rupees. I came to India and bought one Chanel powder compact which was more than 3000 rupees!

I tried to keep my mouth shut....but I cannot -I just cannot hold myself when people are talking about brands.......I havent been into this emporio mall....but I can bet that Louis Vuitton will not sell its handbags in it...........those guys will not lose the exclusivity of the label !..Brands are not just about money....these brands have a story to tell....they have been pain stakingly and creatively built and designed...there is a lot that goes into defining a brand--and its more than showing off money.(definitely money is a very imprtant part)........

Aamir Khan is a brand too(in his own way)---and casting him is expensive....but when he is cast in a movie..you know the movie carries some level of prestige.These labels have been built up..developed in the same way---they promise quality and craftsmanship and people have loved them.....thats why they are there. Its a matter of personal choice-if you like them or not...but if you do, nothing wrong about it ...(Some people like Aamir Khan..some like Satyajit Ray...both are different class..one has mass appeal-one has classy intellectual art appeal...but patronizing either one-or both..or none of them is fine..isnt it?-same with brands!)....
