The twist of the solo journey
6am in a hotel room
She couldn't sleep well whole nite thinking about the destiny of her life with full swing of sorrows one after the other. The latest was jasmin and fateh leaving for canada. She was heartbroken hearing the news and wanted to get away. Far away to cure her bleeding heart which was still longing for her ex even after the betrayal.
Angad mann, the man who knocked into her wrenched life that crippled her from head to toe, was the saviour to mend her sorrows just when she needed a pillar of support to heal her wounds. He planned a solo trip of six days for her to Amritsar on a yatra trip to the Golden Temple and other holy destination surounding the auspicious city of Punjab.
She was reluctant. She wanted to move into a new place permanently away from everything. She was running from him. Her ex. It was difficult to move on with his memories in Moga . The great time they spent together as he walked into her life in the form of a stranger, a friend and then her husband. His betrayal was unbearable yet her bleeding heart still yearned for him who is now tied in a matrimonial bond with her sibling.
Angad insisted that a permanent move was not necessary and guaranteed that she will turn into a new leaf after the six days solo trip. She needed to rediscover herself. Sandhus as well as virks gave their consensus. Advised her to spend some quality time for herself. Running away was not the answer to her problems.
It was half past six and she was starving as she hadn't eaten the past ten hours since she reached her destination. She took off the night itself after fateh and jasmin had left for the airport to canada. She grabbed the food menu and ordered a plate of veg sandwiches and a cup of tea from the room service.
As she munched the delicious meal, angad's call came in and she answered instantly. She was grateful to his kindness of being her strength when she needed the most .
"Tejoji, how u feeling All ok. ur coach will be there at 7 am. Be ready for ur first day tour to the golden temple". She nodded in agreement and stated she was ready . He hung up as he had an incoming call. She wondered at that time.
What if angad never came into her life?? Suddenly, a fear built in her. She would be broken, all alone . Weeping in a corner.
Minutes later she stood in front of the golden alter facing the holy Guru Grant Sahib being enchanted by a priest. The words rang in her mind and soul. She felt peaceful as she kneeled and bowed to respect Him and seek His blessings. She wanted to move on badly. It was a painful struggle but she had faith in Him that He will show her the right direction.
"Pls show me the direction Babaji , i am lost", her tear filled shaky voice pleading for His magic to rescue her from her sorrows.
She did seva at the kitchen area and helped to serve food to the yatris .
Two days passed
She was exhausted yet happy that she was on her toes enjoying the tour with the other guests and the cuisines as she moved to nearby small towns surrounding the main city. There were many gurdwaras and she was amazed at their beauty
The third day was spent fully at a theme park at the outskirts of the city. She enjoyed the rides fully.
That nite , she received an unexpected call from a known number. It was him. Her heart skipped a beat. It was a local number. Don't tell me he hasn't reached canada yet. It's been three days.
"Tejo, mujhey zeruri baat karni hain." He was on the line requesting for a blue file that he couldn't search in his room. Then he hung up. He sounded upset and didn't speak much.
She rang Mahi instantly who spilled the details of fateh leaving jasmin at the airport. He didn't proceed to Canada. Jasmin was at sandhus as papa virk gave her a no entry to virks.
She was shocked but she was amazed. She felt nothing. She was not concerned . The pain inside her was healing. Perhaps the Almighty has blessed her finally.
The next morning as she was shopping in the malls , he rang again . She was happy to hear his voice thinking he might enquire about her trip but he just wanted to get details about some accounts of the academy . There was work pending and he wanted to complete it. He wanted to keep himself busy . He was running away from his own sorrows. She sighed. It was always about him and no one else.
As she hung up, Angad's call came in with a smile in his voice as usual. She was aware that he had an important meeting on that day for a new business venture. Perhaps he might ask her some details as she has turned into his personal assistant these days.
"Angadji, ur meeting today at 11am . The files are ready... he interrupted before she could end her speech.
"Tejoji, forget meeting. I want to know ur trip. How is it. How u feeling."
She was taken by surprise. This man has millions of dollars deal in few minutes and here he was concerned about her wellbeing.
" Angadji, aren't u suppose to prepare for ur meeting . It's gonna start soon". She was worried with his no concern attitude hanging on the phone with her instead.
" Well, meeting comes later first comes honey."angad with his sweet voice irritated her somehow. But he kept on flirting with her on the phone stating he loves kids and wants to have as many as possible.
Minutes later, his secretary' s anxious voice from behind
"Sir, meeting starting now. Washroom sey bahar ajo. Bahut lamba hogeya".
Tejo heard and lashed at him
"Washroom main kya ker rehey ho,".
Angad replied sweetly
" Romance kar raha hun akele akele. Abhi engagement hui hain phir shadi phir suhagraat".
Tejo was irritated. "angadji , fake engagement, fake shadi no suhagraat. You go for meeting now".
Angad answered sweetly
"Tejoji", to which she enquired still irritated
"Kya"??
"Aek kisi mil sekti hain phone main", he requested sweetly.
" Nehin milsakti . Aab jao". She instructed firmly.
Angad continued with a sexy voice " kisi key ilava aur bhi bahut kuch chahiye". Tejo tried to answer but was interupted.
His secretary' nervous voice from behind
"Sir bahar ajao, agar deal mis ho geyi toh stakeholders apkey sath bahut kuch karney wale hain".
Line disconnected. Tejo couldn't stop laughing.
That man directly or indirectly never failed to make her smile.
Throughout the day she received phone cals simultaneously from both men. One only enquired about the work at the academy and the other leaves his work aside to flirt with her through teleconversation every minute checking her wellbeing .
The journey was over the next day. She bid farewell to the other guests and made her way to the airport. She looked out of the window of the speeding black innova driven through the outskirts of the city and felt the breeze of fresh air that marked her new journey. A new feeling emerged. Her wounds healed.
She was deep in thoughts. Perhaps this was another twist of her destiny that she rediscovered herself through the solo trip leaving behind her miseries. Babaji had shown her the direction .

Finally she understood the reasons why he came into her life. He was her pillar of strength. He taught her to smile. He was a jewel. Most importantly , he was God sent .

Part 2 - the turnaround due to his absence
As soon as she landed at the chandigarh airport, she rushed to see him. She knew he will pick her up.
Twenty minutes later at the arrival gate
Where is he? Her eyes searched anxiously. He was nowhere in sight. Just then , a familiar face approached her . The handsome hot muscular guy . Her heart sank. She was surprised that she was disappointed to see him coming to receive her at the airport. Her ex. Fateh singh virk. Dressed in purple shirt and black jeans, he looked smart as ever.
He felt something was amiss. She had a weak smile on her face . Seemed like she was not pleased to see him.
"Trip kaise raha". He enquired as he pushed her luggage trolly, guiding her towards the car. She sighed. Only now he's asking . Before that was just tejo where are balance sheets , tejo where is the accounts file, tejo which payments hasn't been settled. Tejo when is the next meeting with investors schedule, etc. Not once during the trip he enquired her well being.
As she approached the car, Abhiraj gave her a surprise with heart shape balloons cheering "welcome home, my lovely sis". She smiled weakly. Her heart sinking deeper. Where was he ? Why he didn't turn up? Phone par itna flirt kar raha tha and now just disappeared in thin air.
Abhiraj understood her plight. Sibling connection " Tejo, angad left for mumbai last nite. It was an emergency. One of his warehouse caught fire. He requested fateh and me to pick u from the airport".
On the way home, she talked about her wonderful journey with smiles and giggles. He watched her from the driver's mirror . She was changing. He didn't know why he felt upset with her new avatar. Perhaps he was not able to bear the fact that she was forgetting him, her first love and was showing signs of moving on with another man. He felt a little uneasy, shifting in his driver's seat as she praised angad for arranging a wonderful trip for her. Her compliments were affecting him.
An hour later at sandhus
Everyone came rushing to hug her . Virks were present as well. Couldn't wait to see her. Jasmin was nowhere in sight. She went to sweety's place for some personal matter.
Everyone chatted over cups of tea, samosa and some sweet delicacies.
" Tejo , kya kya shopping kar key ayi hain. Dikha zera". Simran spoke excitedly seconded by Mahi and the rest.
She was excited to show to them her purchases.
She unlocked her two luggage bags and started removing the items . A brown leather jacket , three pairs of woolen socks, a pair of sports shoes, four cotton branded long sleeve shirts with matching ties, a Polo brand gents watch, a Tommy Hilfiger gents perfume, a branded leather shoes and the final item shocked everyone present. Five gent Hush Puppies brand cotton undergarments. Everyone puzzled. Abhiraj stated confused." Tejo ,yeh na mere size ka, na fateh ki size ka na amrik ki siza ka Yeh toh sab Angad key size ka maal hain". All items fitted angad mann
Tejo was embarrassed as everyone laughed. She apparently did shopping only for Angad forgetting the rest. How did this happen? She couldn't understand?
Tejo started crying, feeling embarrassed and fateh's dadi hugged her .
" Jo bhi hain acha hain. U are moving on. That's a good sign".
Fateh was uncomfortable and made an excuse to leave for the academy. It was too much to bear. Perhaps he had a hope that she would purchase a gift for him. It was clear that she was changing. He pretended to be happy for her but he wasn't.
Two days passed
She didn't feel like doing anything except for being lazy and hanging around the house. Sandhus advised her to take a break after the exhausting trip. They thought she was tired. But she wasn't. She was missing him badly. Three days in a row, not hearing his sweet voice was killing her to the core.
Just then her phone rang She picked up at once thinking it was him but it was Mahi instead. The virks were organizing a small party for babuji's birthday the next day in the evening. She and sandhus were invited.
At the party at virks
There was music and dance. She tried to enjoy herself but couldn't. His thoughts were haunting her restless mind.
As they gathered around for birthday cake cutting, a familiar voice interrupted.
"Happy birthday, babuji".
There he was finally, standing at the entrance with a wide smile on his cute face. Dressed in white shirt and blue denim jeans, he looked marvelous as ever. The man who brought a new sun rise in her life. Angad Mann. He came direct from the airport
" Angadji, !!" She screamed and left all in a shocked state running into his arms. Angad himself was surprised to see her reaction but opened his arms to receive her . Fateh's heart sank. Her feelings were changing.
Sandhus sighed a relief. Finally, she was moving on . Virks didn't react. But they accepted the fact that she was better off with a guy who really deserved her.
They swayed with the music after cake cutting and everyone watched silently. Fateh quietly moved towards his room . Gave an excuse to sleep early. But he was restless.
She finally felt peace in his arms as he swept her along the beats of the songs played. Others joined in a while later.
An hour passed
Sandhus took a leave. As angad was about to sit in his car, she approached him stating to put up a nite at their place as she wanted to show off her gifts. He nodded in agreement amused with her sudden behavior exchanging glances with sandhus.
What happened to ur daughter.??
11 pm sandhus residence
She took him to her room as soon as they reached the front gate. Sandhus were happy. She was excited. They went off to bed. Let the lovebirds spend some time together tonite.
She showed him the gifts . He was taken aback. She knew his size perfectly. He laughed when he saw the undergarments. Finally he stated. There was something she missed.
" Tejoji, ap kuch bhul geyi".
She asked, surprised. " Kya".
" Humare bachon ke undies". He replied with a horny look on his naughty face. She took few pillows and started hitting him. A pillow fight. Finally both were exhausted and fell asleep on her bed.
The next sun rise marked their new journey .
