I think people want to keep their fond memories atleast in their creations so they try to showcase them as a happy couple. Show mein toh milna mumkin hi nahi hai.

Only itv female leads I saw standup to their families and call out their families hypocrisy and challenged them to stop them from living their lives and are true examples of feminism are Susheela from kaatelal and sons and Sanjana from Ziddi dil maane na.

Both very unconventional female leads.

Especially Susheela who didn't give two hoots for anyone who tried to demean her or try to walk all over her .she'd fight back and was how alot of us are in real .

But alas none of these shows are on mainstream hindi channels.
