Biz asia didn't say there will be a change of time slot, it quoted a channel spokesperson saying that they'll decide the fate of the show soon. It's the PH that was hoping for a change of time slot, it was in article on another site.

I think the new show was meant to start later but the channel brought it forward because it was losing to Star Plus. If it was coming later it could've got another time slot but since it was moved forward it was either Udaan or IMMJ that had to go off air. They didn't give it an earlier time slot because they weren't interested in Sukor.

Anyways I think Udaan works best between 8:00 and 10:00 and anything outside prime time was going to be worse than shutting it down. I just wish we got another month to give justice to the track.

But it was way to early to judge the leap, no other leap of other shows got such fast decision..to me it seems they probably were planning to axe the show anyways but brought leap.in just to test water. Ladoo leap was given more time than ours. Anyways we never know what goes on behind the door. We had back to back leaps even when not required.

Another thing which came to mind is that they got nazim bec had done generation leap and accepted to play older character in his previous show so they knew if udaan takes generation leap, nazim.will do it. They wanted him him to play next kn. Krip maybe wasnt signed on bec he opted out of his previous show when generation.leap came in..generation leap maybe on channel mind but ph had doubts

Things have been messy since feb march. None of the tracks really worked but still sjow is faring better than many others on the channel.

Ph could have swapped udaan onto tu aasqhui new slot if time slot was an issue

Also you never know maybe channel and ph have agreed on a new show. So ph dont care anymore

I think they brought Nazim because they wanted a big name to have a role similar to Sai Sir, also because they thought that he can bring viewers because when he was axed from Saathiya, it lost TRPs and when he came back show regained TRPs.

About Krrip refusing to play an old role, I don't think it's the age, it's the importance of the role, if he plays the father of the FL then he's no longer the lead, he's become a secondary character.

IMO the way they promoted Anjor, they planned to have her for a long time. If they wanted a generational leap, they wouldn't have cancelled the show, they would've had another leap in October.

Yes, maybe the channel promised the PH a new show.

About the rumored disagreement between the producers. I remember that the producers of one of Zee's shows had a fall out and broke their company so Zee gave the show to another PH. Also I've read on another forum that it's usually the channel that hold the rights for the show and not the PH, so if they want they can change PH (Ekta is the exception)

I think channel was unhappy with general performance.

And SP and Zee doing well than them.

Generally during Bigboss time,they usually concentrate on it and new shows will come either after Big boss ends or after IPL over.

The competition is getting bigger and none of the new shows that started in recent times working for channel.

So they are definitely getting impatient and taking decisions hastly.

They did revamp for all shows and still it doesn't giving them desired ratings.

Infact they concentrated more on Udaan revamp and done excessive promotions and even changed it as Anjor ki Udaan and PH done lot of work for a longer track.

And the trp drops for two weeks definitely disappointed the channel.

And historical show needs a good time slot and decent trps as it is a big budget show so they prefer 8.30 because around 2 trps is almost guaranteed here at start.

They don't care what Udaan done so far for them or is it fair to end this way or anything as they are looking for more trps and better ranking in trp charts.

Yes, they needed the time slot but then they could've moved Udaan to 6:30 or to 10:00 but instead decided to give Roop and BP another chance. Kasam and SSK went on forever and weren't bringing TRPs.

Also Colors hasn't solved their underlying problem: all their new shows have flopped and bringing a new show against TMKOC and Kulfi is very risky.

2weeks for any leap.is to soon to judge, here they kept leads away, whom.the audience had a connection with and bought new faces.chakor entered fri and got more scenes from the following wed thurs. Suraj went.missing..long gumli scenes, they bedroom cheapness, audience not stupid to accept. They did poor planning.they should have been patient

It takes time for the audience to adjust to such big changes

Ladoo was always a low trp.gainer yet got longer time to test leap

New show will face hard time bec zeetv new show may click too

Also the second week drop was purely because of the Saturday special, IMMJ had the same thing

IMMJ Udaan

week before Saturday special 4586 4383

Saturday special week 3791 3929

week after Saturday special 4409 4236

The channel should know that weekend specials get far lower ratings than weekday ratings. This also happened to Zee shows.

The show didn't drop on the second week of the leap, it actually did better than what IMMJ did when it had its Saturday special.

Thats why i feel trps arent issue, something else led them to end.

At the end of the day udaan is a successful and popular show which completed 1100 episodes, it should have been treated better.

Channel hardly has any dailies working

Shakti will get competition from zee and sp shows.
