2014, First promo of Udaan aired showing an infant being branded a bonded labour, those few seconds of the teaser evidently threw a light on the dark truth of certain villages in our country. That first look was gripping & promising to deliver something different.
18 August 2014, First episode of Udaan went on air. Branded 2 days old infant grew to an 8 yr Old free spirited girl who smiles away the atrocities. The innocent child who wants to erase the branded stamp realises the only way to do it is to fight against the 'Bandhuvagiri'. This was the starting point of her race towards freedom & still running tirelessly for 4 successful years.
In a glut of saas bahu dramas, costume driven shaadi sagas, kitchen politics, Udaan came as a refreshing change. A tale of a cause, justice, love, relations and conspiracies.
This show initially starred fresh new faces who glued the viewers with their brilliant performances. Cast includes some stellar performers like
Sai Ballal, who, with his performance, is placed in the list of the most remarkable Villains on ITV.
Vijayendra Kumeria, popularly known as Rajat Sharma in Shastri sisters, who crash landed into the hearts of viewers with his signature swag & self owned acting.
Meera Deosthale, played the lead for the first time in her career but her performance growth in the show proved she was equivalent to an experienced actor.
Every other star cast, Paras Arora, Vidhi Pandya, Prachee Pathak, Ginnie, Sai Deodhar, Rajiv, Vandana, Vikas Bhalla, Shresht, Sandeep Baswana, Vineet Raina & many more actors responsible for the tremendous success of this show till date
The show has quickly gone on to gain cult following as it is now second most watched Daily soap on Colors Tv, awarded the longest running successful show on Colors TV, one of the rarest rural highlighting a prevailing social issue, completed 1100 episodes & still airing in the most competitive slot at 8.30pm.
As the show completes four years today, wishing all the best to the Team of Udaan for future and thank them for the wonderful work they have done in keeping the viewers entertained!
