It's daytime, Suraj is getting ready. Chakor comes and gives him Naina's ring. She tells him to give Naina his attention during the party so that she and the colonel don't suspect him. She notices that the ring finger on his left hand is bandaged, it's his attempt to stop the engagement. Suraj doesn't want Chakor at the party because her life will be in danger, but she explains that they need to get the colonel's contact info.
Naina's aunt arrives, she brought a suitor for Naina, she gets angry when she knows that her engagement is the same day.
Chakor is going down the stairs in haveli when the lights go off, a light is then pointed at her. Suraj comes out and kneels in front of her and makes her wear a ring. He tells her she's his bride always, he then puts his ring in a chain and makes Chakor tie it around his neck, they hug. He tells her the ring will be close to his heart, just like her and will remind him to fulfill this mission.
At the party, Naina comes down with her aunt, she greets Suraj's "mother", Suraj tries to touch the aunt's feet but she backs off and excuses herself and goes to her room because she isn't well. A man comes and the colonel greets him warmly he introduces him as his old friend Anil Sharma, they go together to talk.
Suraj keeps looking at the door, he's looking for Chakor, one of the waitresses faints, Naina goes to her, she tells her she can leave and they'll get a replacement. Naina notices that Suraj is absent minded, she takes him aside and tells him that he isn't himself and they can stop the engagement and wedding, he's shocked. Before he answers he sees Chakor dressed as a waitress. He looks at Chakor while talking to Naina, he tells her she's in his heart and he's just tensed. Naina is satisfied with his answer and tells him she loves him, Chakor gives him a thumbs up.
Suraj goes to get a drink, he talks to Chakor. He tells her her presence gives him courage.
The colonel talks to his friend, he notices his expensive gold chain, he punishes him for stealing money from him by strangling him by his chain. He says cheating him means death.
