Episode in which Chakor stands in front of media and says she is retaining from running, she won't participate in any race from that day onwards. After that, reporter asks why so sudden, when KN showed real reports and proved she didn't take any drugs, is she hiding something. Then the same reporter asks is she pregnant. Close up on Chakor and Suraj's face and of course on shocked Imlis face. (Not so relevant to the post but wanted to mention it since I have just watched that episode: I didn't understand it back then why she looked more shocked with the question then Suraj, but now I somehow understand. She was always the same.) Then Chakor says how she is married now, how she has many responsibilities as older daughter in law of the mansion, how she needs to take care of her in laws and that's why she takes retirement.

Why am I reminding you on all this? Well actually, in one of after leap interviews VJ said something like since Chakor is in retirement, now she is teaching children, means she is coach now, something like this. Sorry for not remembering right words which he said, I'm unable to remember which olv was that. But the word retirement reminded me on the reason of Chakor's retirement and today I found some free time so I went to watch that episode once again because I felt there is weird connection between what happened then and today's situation.

1. Now Chakor still doesn't run, she is not participating in any races but imo her current role is more important. Chakor would never be the famous marathon runner without her Arjun Sir. Even in real life I always considered that in sport success one of the biggest thanks goes to coaches. Without good coach... well one can work hard, have talent, but without that special person who will be teacher, role model, motivator and inspiration all in one I wouldn't be so sure in success. So don't know how many of you will agree but I think Chakor has bigger role now.

2. She wasn't pregnant back then. She isn't now. (Well I hope so, not so sure tbh, knowing Suraj's talent in making babies 😆) But now she is mother. And Saanvi is still baby so she has many reasons to not run yet. But makers managed to make her run trough coaching children's. One more 👍🏼 for makers.

3. She lied back then. We all know she was blackmailed by KN, but the fact is she lied in front of TV cameras. And lie was: Now I'm married, I have more responsibilities as daughter in love which I need to accomplish, I need to take care of my old father in love, that's why I'm taking retirement. Now, she is listening almost the same words from other girls mouths and she fights against that.

I was thinking how weird or maybe even ironical is the fact that now Chakor has role of coach to new generations and she wants all girls to fly high and not feel shackles of marriage and in law responsibilities while she was the one who in the moment of big need decided to tell the very same lie that to in front of the world. It makes me think, did she meant (writers who wrote it) in that time the mentioned lie is acceptable in society or it was vice versa, even then she (they) didn't considered it acceptable and wanted to pay attention to it but not so directly like now. What was F for focus, G for goal behind that scene?😕

I found the mentioned episode and current story line somehow connected yet diametrically different in the same time and wanted to share it with you all. Hope I was successful in explaining what I wanted to say even if it was just partially.

Interesting post Krupy, you're right, Chakor is fighting the same attitude that she used once to explain her retirement. It's a sad reality that that reason is widely accepted in many societies: a woman's priority is her family.
It's true that a coach/teacher's role is very important but it's a lot like a mother's role, they nurture others and help them realize their potential, but there is little personal glory. It would've been a great career post retirement if Chakor was able to run for longer and reach greater height in her profession. Personally, I'm ok with Chakor's retirement, for me Azaadganj was always her main dream and running was her support to achieve it.

I think when Chakor chose that excuse, she knew no one will doubt her because it's part of society's norm but it was also a veiled reference to reality, she was retiring because of her FIL's attempts to kill her husband and her fight against so it was her marital life that ended her career.

I remember at that time being confused by Imli's reaction (even by Vivaan's reaction to Sukor's first hug at the warehouse), it seemed to me that Imli didn't believe they'd ever get close or maybe didn't want it, there is also the jealousy factor, she was always jealous of Chakor and has always blamed her for everything that happened in her life, but probably it was just to give her ss. Imli's ss from November to January was good, wish they kept it that way.

Mesh I'm a also OK with Chakor's retirement. The only thing I ever wanted is to not pretend like she was never famous runner and they are really not doing it, so for me this is completely ok. Agree, running was Chakor's why to accomplish her dreams, but she also have that love and passion towards running that's why she was shown running in emotional situations even if it's not for fulfilling her dreams, like for example recently when she run after quiting elections and freeing Teju. I would say that as much as she loves freedom she loves running and she balanced it very good before retirement and different way but even now also she is balancing it but now with her family responsibilities also. But although she loved both, her dreams about freedom and running, Azaadganj had bigger priority because of what she gone trough in her childhood and her personality, while her love towards running if we not look at it as her way to accomplish her dreams, comes only from her personality.
About Imvaan reactions... I don't know how to explain it but Vivaans reaction at first Sukor hug didn't surprised me as much. I mean, the three were alone, no one was pretending and for someone who lived his own life not paying to much attention to Sukor it come as big surprise for him. While on the other side... Imli clearly knew in that moment that everyone are pretending and especially Sukor. She knew they are pretending to be happy happy married couple, so if they are acting that in front of media the question about pregnancy should have been so shocking to her. What I want to say is, she was there between them or with Sukor more then Vivaan and she knew they are acting. Then why shock? If it was just to give her ss.. or maybe one more Vidhi exspression which I didn't understand the way she wanted me to do.. then makers did one good job by turning her negative, because only now I can give a meaning to some of her old dialogues, expressions and behaviours.

Chakor said those lies to escape from further queries of media that time and it was socially accepted thing too.
But that time physical banduvagiri was promient and getting freedom for Azadgunj was her motto.
But now the scenario is different and still after people gets their freedom their dream for years, they unable to move forward like each person wishes to do.
This is unique topic and a reality of society.

But what is my concern is will they ever bring back Chakor to her marathon race.
Now she is coaching kids and may be she will coach Saanvi in future.
Sannvi is too little now so Chakor' presece very much needed to Saanvi now.

But if they are trying to give message that girls can aspire their dreams after marriage too.
Then Chakor should be the role model as she should come back to her race .
It's always helping others are her favorite thing but if she get back to her career of running with the support of Sooraj and take care of both then that will be the message itself to all girls around her.
Don't know will they ever do that.
