suraj being an introvert didn't want to share his feeling for chakor openly at that stage.

It wasn't about his feelings for Chakor, it was about his own happiness..Whether he is happy in the present because of the past bride swap..IMO

So during his Car convo with Imli-when Suraj said that "Imli is more mature than Chakor",this is my take-

when someone loves a person,it does'nt means that every quality is needed to be appreciated,that too in the fist stage.

Suraj had been hungry for power,that used to be his ambition,for he considered himself to be weak,as he was out of any authority or power.And its fact,that Chakor never paid any heed to the importance of power,her virtues and principles were always right,but that does'nt meant that Suraj's principles and pov regarding power were wrong.NOT TO FORGET,HE WANTED POWER ONLY TO FULFILL CHAKOR DREAMS OF A FREE AZADGUNJ.

And regarding Imli,they both have grown up together,thats why shared the same opinion regarding power,and Imli indeed understood the thing and importance about POWER,so he acknowledge it,comapring it with Chakor,coz generally people do compare two siblings.

IMO,Suraj in no way,made Chakor to look inferior to Imli in terms of maturity.

And not to forget,eve if Suraj does acknowlegdes Chakor's jagat maata attitude,he always calls her to be "sar-phiri,paagal" ladki,coz she always risks herself for others.

Suraj to be on that night,seemed to be very much lost in his ow world,that day.

About the fact that he did'nt mentioned that the bridal swap happened for good,for him,.

I think that he would have never appreciated it,until and unless,he was sure that Chakor is happy with it,coz it was he who had done that,flipping three lives upside down,how could he had appreciated the swap,wehn he was unsure of Chakor's happiness with it.

lastly,about Suraj's lie to Chakor about being the father of Imli's child-

I strongly feel,that at that particular moment,when imli was taken into the asylum,Suraj made the announcement just for the sake of Chakor[remeber the lucknow hotel scene between Sukor],but later on,his own guilt had did come up.

Like i said i was not a suraj or sukor fan when the car scene happened. I was a chakor fan and did believe sukor were different and they had chemistry. The car to me looked like a normal scene and i never really got any negative or uncomfortable vibes from it, apart from the sleeping position. But you and divya have explained to me about that and i buy the way you both look at it.

You have explained beautifully as to why suraj never mentioned the bride swap and chakor. I agree with you and i want to add my view too.

I have always believed that the bride swap was a disrespectful thing for suraj to do. I was disgusted watching the entire sequence. Even though imvaan from the cvs pov moved on and were happy, we couldnt say the same for sukor. Their journey was different and they had a lot of baggage which had to be cleared. Remember before the camp wedding suraj in the tent had said to chakor that the bride swap was not a marriage in the real sense and it was a punishment he gave her. If he would have shown his happiness and contentness about the bride swap in the car that night and without knowing about chakors feelings verbally, he would be in a way praising the punishment he gave her and that would have been further disrespectful to her. He would have been wrong imo at that stage to say about that

. I felt he was reluctant to say anything about his and chakor relationship.

Suraj never appreciated his act of bridal swap,even recently when Sukor marriage talks were on,and they both were eating mangoes in Chakor's house,Suraj told Chakor not use ghunghat while it was Chakor who said that it was coz of only the ghunghat that they both were married

For Suraj it was all about heart consent,their first public marriage,was'nt real according to him,so he hesitated to even hug her after proposing.

While their private camp wedding held such significance for him,that he went with a second level of it.

I read a tweet at that time about suraj doing emotional cheating in the car. I still dont understand the meaning of that. Do you?

No I don't

Suraj can cheat himself,but never Chakor,be it emotionally or in any other manner

I second all what you said about suraj and guilt. No matter how much i hate imli today but i will never deny that suraj was unfair to her and did injustice to her. I still remember how he had called the baby haram ki aulaad in front of chakor in one scene. I am sure suraj regretted every bit of it.
